[JOLSE] Vprove Rhodiola Power Cream Review

Friday 14 April 2017

Read in English       Przeczytaj po polsku

Skin damage can be provided by different factors such as wrong skin care, lack of sunscreen, manual damages (for example scratching your pimples, etc), wrong diet, lack of hydration, etc.  I always react to temperate due to photodermatitis and today I'm going to test for you a cream which protects skin from temperature changes.

Couple words about brand
Vprove is a very young brand because it's a brand which was made in 2016 by Cosmocos. The brand offers different series of products and all of them seems to be dermo-cosmetics.

Packaging
I really like minimalistic design and the graphic side of this packaging is very eye-pleasing for me, this product looks professional and quite luxurious. Of course, it contains lots of information but most of them are in Korean.

Skin Type
I couldn't find any specific information because my Korean is very poor, but there is an information that this product provides our skin whitening and anti-aging properties and it's a product dedicated to protecting our skin from temperature changes.

Ingredients
Water, Dimethicone, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Rhodiola Sacra Root Extract, Butylene Glycol, Propanediol, Niacinamide, Cyclopentasiloxane, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1 Dimethicone, Cyclohexasiloxane, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Biosaccharide Gum-1, Glycereth-26, Sodium Chloride, Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate, Titanium Dioxide, Sorbitan Isostearate, Ozokerite, Aloe Barbensis Leaf Juice Powder, Panthenol, Dextrin Palmitate, Jojoba Esters, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Madecassoside, Allantoin, Ethylhexylglycerin, Disodium EDTA, Adenosine, Aluminum Hydroxide, Sodium Hyaluronate, Beta-Glucan, Prunus Mume Fruit Extract, Glycerin, Zinc Oxide, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Magnesium PCA, Sodium Lactate, Tocopherol, Copper Tripeptide-1, Serine, Sucrose, Urea, Glycine, Calcium Chloride, Potassium Hydroxide, Ornithine, Sea Salt, Alanine, Magnesium Chloride, Threonine, Histidine, Aspartic Acid, Valine, Proline, Dipotassium Phosphate, Lysine, Tyrosine, Leucine, Phenylalanine, Isoleucine, Glucosamine HCI, Magnesium Citrate, Asparagine, 1-Methylhydantoin-2-Imide, Glutamic Acid, Citrulline, Arginine, Uric Acid, Methionine, Tryptophan, Taurine, Glutamine, Cysteine, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance

Water in the 1st place is always a good sign. Dimethicone - an emollient but also a silicone, it changes the texture of a product, it might be comedogenic that's why we need to remember about cleansing. Hydrogenated Polyisobutene - a moisturiser, it makes skin smooth. Rhodiola Sacra Root Extract - the main star of this product, it is also known as Tibetan Rhodiola and it's an antioxidant used in natural medicine. This ingredient helps us with wrinkles and skin damages. Butylene Glycol - another moisturiser, it makes skin softer. Propanediol - a natural moisturiser and preservative, Niacinamide - antioxidant, also known as vitamin B3, it is good for wrinkles, pigmentation and oily skin.  Cyclopentasiloxane - an emollient and light silicone but you shouldn't be scared of it - according to EWG, this ingredient isn't harmful. Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil - an emollient, full in vitamins and fatty acids, good for acne-prone skin. Cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1 Dimethicone - we prefer to avoid this ingredient. Cyclohexasiloxane - emollient but also a silicone, it makes skin smooth in touch, according to EWG, this ingredient isn't harmful. Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter - natural emollient, good for dry skin, it might be comedogenic. Biosaccharide Gum-1 - thickener, but it can also help with allergic reaction and it can moistures your skin. Glycereth-26 - chemical emollient. Sodium Chloride - we know this ingredient from our... kitchen, in beauty industry it's a thickener. Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate - a mineral thickener. Titanium Dioxide - mineral sunscreen, Sorbitan Isostearate - an emulsifier. Ozokerite - another emollient, but this one can be comedogenic. Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder - aloe is good for different skin problems such as acne or dehydration, aloe contains almost 99% of the water that's why it's a good moisturiser. Panthenol - also known as provitamin B5, good moisturiser. I always recommend this ingredient for sensitive skin and after sunburns, it's a cure for inflammation. Dextrin Palmitate - oil thickener, Jojoba Esters - emollient, it helps with skin elasticity and moisture. 1,2-Hexanediol - a synthetic preservative. Caprylyl Glycol - an oily emollient. Portulaca Oleracea Extract - an antioxidant which reminds me a little bit of Aloe because it contains almost 93% of water. Besides water, it's a plant full of vitamins and minerals. It's good for inflammation and lack of moisture. Madecassoside - another antioxidant, good for wrinkles. Allantoin - anti-inflammatory ingredient and a good emollient. Ethylhexylglycerin - a preservative and very light moisturiser. Disodium EDTA - a preservative, it's safe in small concentration. Adenosine - anti-aging ingredient. Aluminum Hydroxide - this ingredient works well for oily skin - it absorbs sebum. Sodium Hyaluronate - this ingredient makes our skin smooth and it increases the skin elasticity. It is an anti-aging ingredient. Beta-Glucan - anti-inflammatory ingredient, but it also works as a moisturiser and anti-aging agent. Prunus Mume Fruit Extract - a natural humectant. Glycerin - moisturiser, it might be comedogenic. Zinc Oxide - mineral sunscreen, acne-prone skin will enjoy this ingredient because it absorbs sebum. Panax Ginseng Root Extract - this ingredient contains a lot of natural minerals and vitamins. Products based on ginseng are usually expensive because this ingredient is a multitool - it works for many skin problems like wrinkles and ageing, but it also regenerates and revitalises skin. Magnesium PCA - moisturiser, it prevents water loss. Sodium Lactate - depending on concentration it might be a moisturiser or exfoliator. You shouldn't use this ingredient during the pregnancy. Tocopherol - vitamin E, a natural preservative. It repairs skin lipid barrier but it's also an antioxidant so it can work for wrinkles too. Copper Tripeptide-1 - an anti-aging ingredient, works for wrinkles and skin elasticity. Serine - amino acid made from silk proteins, it boosts the collagen production and improves skin elasticity.
Sucrose - moisturiser. Urea - another moisturiser. Glycine - pH adjuster but it also regenerates skin. Calcium Chloride - works for inflammation, eczema, skin allergies but it also makes skin brighter. Potassium Hydroxide - pH adjuster. Ornithine - an amino acid and anti-aging ingredient. Sea Salt - mild exfoliator, it makes skin soft in touch. Alanine - amino acid, anti-static ingredient. Magnesium Chloride - antiseptic and anti-inflammatory ingredient, in high concentration it shouldn't be used by people with thyroid dysfunction. Threonine - another amino acid, boosts collagen production but it also gives a hint of a smell to the product. Histidine  - antioxidant, it can firm the wrinkles. Proline - an anti-aging ingredient that gives a healthy glow. Dipotassium Phosphate - pH adjuster. Tyrosine - amino acid, it helps with pigmentation. Aspartic Acid, Valine, Lysine, Leucine, Phenylalanine, Isoleucine, Tryptophan and Cysteine - antioxidants and amino acids. They can help with ageing and skin elasticity. Glucosamine HCI - anti-inflammatory ingredient, it can help with psoriasis. Magnesium Citrate - a salt of citric acid, Asparagine - an antioxidant, makes skin softer. 1-Methylhydantoin-2-Imide - revitalising and moisturising. Glutamic Acid - amino acid delivered from wheat gluten, if you are allergic to gluten or if you have Dermatitis herpetiformis (Duhring's disease) then it's better to avoid this ingredient. Citrulline - moisture and anti-aging agent. Arginine and Methionine - both boosts collagen production. Uric Acid - boosts wounds healing. Taurine - it gives a hint of a smell to the product. Glutamine - anti-inflammatory ingredient and antioxidant. Phenoxyethanol - a preservative, not good for health. Fragrance - the smell of the product, usually a synthetic one, it might be not healthy.

Smell & Texture
This product has an intensive smell, a little bit weird but nice, it smells like some herbs but not in 100%, I've never smelled Rhodiola so I won't tell you if it's this smell or not. The texture is good, normal white cream - easy to spread, it hides redness a little bit.

How does it work for me?
I wasn't sure how my face is going to react, because I'm allergic to wheat and I've got acne-prone skin, after all, I see that this cream really helps me - especially with redness which is one of the biggest problems for me now. My face reacts to sun and temperature, hopefully, after using this product I can't see this reaction - my face stay pale for a long time. My foundation stays on this cream perfectly. I use it only in the morning because I don't need a "temperature protection" at night. I'm not sure about anti-aging because I think it's too early to see any results but I can feel that my forehead is moister which is a good sign. This product hides redness a little bit. As I said before - I'm not the fan of this scent, it might be too heavy for some people. The ingredient list is quite long but I like the fact that it's full in amino acids and natural ingredients.

Additional Information
This product is not suitable for vegans and vegetarians.

Sum up
I must admit that this cream made me wanna get more products from this brand. The ingredients list and packaging are very eye-pleasing. It's a good product if you reacts to temperature or if you need additional protection - especially in big cities where pollution is higher than in small villages.

Where to buy this product?
You can get this product on Jolse. It costs around 17-18$.

I've enjoyed this product but now I want to know your opinion about it. Have you ever heard about brand Vprove? How do you like this cream? Would you buy it?

  25. O, Jolse to jeden z pierwszych sklepów z koreańskimi kosmetykami, z którym miałam do czynienia i w sumie nadal mam :P

Wchodząc z zimnego do ciepłego skóra przeżywa szok. Podobnie w lecie, gdy w dodatku mamy kontakt z klimatyzowanymi pomieszczeniami.
