Bielenda Detox Mask Series

Read in English       Przeczytaj po polsku

Let me say just one thing - I'm not a fan of Polish drugstore brands if I have to choose between some small manufactory and big polish brands then I'll go with the first option but I have to admit - Polish brands are getting better at making new interesting products, they are being sold in the whole EU and besides EU. Currently, Bielenda has released lots of new interesting products and today I'm going to share with you, my opinion on detox mask series.

Couple words about brand
Bielenda is a polish brand founded in 1990, they have two lines of products - let's call it basic one, which you can find in almost every drugstore in Poland - all these products are quite cheap and affordable for customers - and the second professional line which costs more but I think it's still affordable line with better formulas and more professional products. Their products are used in cosmetic schools and hotels/SPAs. You can find this brand in countries such as UAE, UK, Korea, Russia, USA, Canada, Estonia and many other countries.

Why I've decided to try these masks?
As I said before - I'm not a fan of polish drugstore brands such as Bielenda or Ziaja - I know some of their products, I had some bad experience before and that's why I'm trying to keep myself away from these brands. It's not like I don't like polish brands because we've got lots of good brands such as Clochee which I need to finally visit because their shop is right next to my old house, Iossi or Hagi. When I made this blog I wanted to focus not only on Asian Beauty but also on Slavic brands because they are as fascinating as foreign brands. I can admit that the packaging of this series of masks made me buying them. I'm still planning to try the jelly ones but I can't find them anywhere so I'll probably wait or order them online and then review them for you.

Blue Detox
Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Kaolin, Glycerin, Mica, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Magnesium PCA, Colloidal Platinum (Nano), Carbon Black, Propylene Glycol, Spirulina Maxima Extract, Panthenol, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Laureth-7, Xanthan Gum, Polyacrylamide, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, DMDM Hydantoin, Parfum (Fragrance), Butylphenyl Methylpropional, CI 42090, CI 19140, CI 77007, CI 77891

Blue detox was the first mask from this series I've tried. I was a little bit scared because drugstore masks are always full of alcohol and that's a surprise - I can't see there Alcohol Denat. Water and Kaolin on two first places are a good sign. Colloidal Platinum (Nano) is an ingredient used as an anti-aging and pigmentation agent. For sure Panthenol, Glycerin and Spirulina Maxima Extract are moisturisers here. CI 77891 is nothing else than Titanium Dioxide. Unfortunately, we've got here some ingredients which aren't the best for our skin like Carbon Black, Parfum, DMDM Hydantoin and Butylphenyl Methylpropional - the latest one is a potential allergen.
Blue detox mask is recommended for dry and normal skin, I've got mixed skin and it worked for me, even better - it helped me with my acne. I had no irritation and the colour of this mask looks like on the packaging. Somehow it reminds me of a Glamglow mask which also contains Colloidal Platinum but the ingredients definitely different - is Glamglow better? I'm not sure, both products aren't flawless, for sure 0,50€ is a very little price for such a nice mask. Just to mention - removing this mask isn't the easiest part, I had to double cleanse my face to remove the rest of the mask from my skin. There's one thing which I saw and which other bloggers saw too (thanks to elfnaczi, myskinstoryy and kosmetykoholizm) - all of these masks made my eyes full of water - I was literally crying because the Parfum is too strong for me - I couldn't smell the scent but my eyes didn't feel comfortable.

Gold
Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Kaolin, Glycerin, Mica, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Gold (Nano), Carbon Black, Pearl Powder, Lactic Acid, Polysorbate 20, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Laureth-7, Xanthan Gum, Polyacrylamide, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, DMDM Hydantoin, Parfum (Fragrance), CI 77891, CI 77491

I've decided to end my test with Gold Detox. Who doesn't like Gold? It's probably one of the fanciest ingredients which you can find in cosmetics. As well as Pearl Powder. Again we've got here Glycerin, Mica, Lactic Acid. But on the other hand Parfum, DMDM Hydantoin, Carbon Black and Phenoxyethanol aren't the best. Again I was crying using this mask. This one is a little bit harder to remove for your skin, it doesn't remind me gold at all and my skin didn't like it but also it's not bad as a silver mask.

Silver
Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Kaolin, Glycerin, Mica, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Illite, Carbon Black, Zinc PCA, Silver (Nano), Lactic Acid,  Polysorbate 20, Montmorillonite, Calcite, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Laureth-7, Xanthan Gum, Polyacrylamide, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, DMDM Hydantoin, Parfum (Fragrance), CI 77891

Silver Detox was second. The silver mask looks better - only DMDM Hydantoin and Black Carbon aren't good here. Silver is also not the best choice for our health. As usual, we've got Perfume which you can find in almost every product but some people do react to this ingredient. Water and Kaolin are a really good sign. Zinc PCA is good for acne-prone skin as well as Lactic Acid, CI 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), Illite and Montmorillonite (both Illite and Montmorillonite are clays). This mask is definitely a choice for oily skin or for anyone who's skin is used to acids and strong substances. My skin didn't like it, even if washing it off was very easy and the smell of this product is ok (besides the fact that I was crying while using it). I feel like my skin become very dry after using it to the point when my skin barrier couldn't stand it and it ended up with increased sebum production which is not a good thing, hopefully, moisturisers and toner helped me to balance this situation.

Are they worth to try?
If you want to try these masks I would recommend the blue and gold mask. The silver one is not the mildest mask I've ever had. The masks cost very little so if you see them somewhere or you plan to visit/you're living in Poland then give them a try maybe you will enjoy them.

Let me know how do you feel about these masks and which one is the most interesting one for you? I've got a question for you - same one as on Facebook - I've got problems with time and I'm thinking about removing a Polish version of posts and leave google translate option on the blog what do you think about this solution?

Trochę mnie to zniechęciło.

Dobra i w normalnej cenie.
    Pozdrawiam

  17. Chyba zaraz zamówię to niebieskie cudeńsko bo jestem mega ciekawa. Ostatnio Bielana bardzo pozytywnie zaskakuje mnie swoją ofertą. Oleje, maski, dobre filtry i to za rozsądne pieniążki.

  29. Z Ziają ja się już dawno poddałam. Podobnie z innymi drogeryjnym markami.. więcej mi to krzywdy przyniosło niż pożytku. Ja się nie skuszę ;-)
