Lip care Laneige Lip Mask Nivea Pop-Ball Lip Balm The History Of Whoo Sigma Holika Holika Dodocat Vaseline Avon

Winter literally strikes back! It's middle of the February and right now I cannot see a day without snow - even only on the ground during the night. Weather changes aren't only bad for the skin but also for the lips. My lip care is quite simple but I've decided to share it with you since it might be helpful if you have dry lips such as me.

Lip scrub?

I'm aware that lip scrubs started to be super popular but for me, they are a bit useless stuff which I do not feel like I want to pay for especially when DIY scrub costs less and it's fresh. I'm allergic to gluten, nuts & soy oil so if the products contain any of these two I'm going to get an allergic reaction that's why I prefer to mix coconut flakes or brown sugar with honey and olive oil. It works for me the best, you can also use normal sugar which might be harder than the brown one. If you have a delicate cloth you can soak it in water (not warm but not cold) and try to use it as a scrub too, I usually go for this option when my lips are really flaky.

Lip Balms

I barely ever use lip balms but if a lip balm smells nice I'll use it all the time. I got a package from Nivea with their new Nivea Pop-Ball Lip Balm. This version smells like Red Apples & Raspberries and it's an interesting, fruity scent. The products remind me of EOS Lip Balms but I feel like ingredients might be better. For me, Nivea is a brand which I like their lip products - actually, when I was a child in February my mom got me first Nivea Lip Balm Peach. The same Pop-Ball in Germany is called Labellino. The main ingredients here are Castor Oil (Ricinus Communis Seed Oil) and Shea Butter. I've got mixed feelings because I like using this balm but sometimes it's not enough for my lips.

Lip mask and how I use it?

If it's too cold lip balms are usually not enough for me - I just need a product that's going to leave a tiny layer on the top that's why I put Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask and I own small package of Berry mask in my bag while the Apple Lime version I keep on my desk to use it before the skin. I like both versions and they work for me well. But what if I want to put a colour on?

Gradient lips & fancy lipsticks

I barely use lipsticks or lip tints but if I go for a colour then I'll go for a lip tint gradient with a layer of lip balm or I use The History Of Whoo lipsticks which I've got in miniature. The pigmentation isn't very good but the lipsticks are creamy and I feel like they give my lips additional moisture. If I ever use a matte formula I go for Kat Von D lip products - they might not be ideal but if I smudge them on my lips and add some mask it looks good and it feels good.

As you can see lip care is just a small part of my everyday skincare but it's not less important. Let me know how do you care for your lips during the winter.
