There's one thing that we keep forgetting about during the summer and I'm not talking about sunscreen - this one we keep forgetting during the winter. I'm talking about hydration. Believe me, this season your skin gets easily dehydrated hopefully some brands are making moisturizing more fun and interesting. Couple days ago I got a package from Nivea with Nivea Soft Mix Me trio, I thought I'll share with you my first impressions.

Let's talk about Nivea

I feel like Nivea is one of these brands which we don't have to mention since it's so popular and available almost everywhere. For me, Nivea is also related to my memories since as I wrote in one of the previous posts - my grandma keeps some Nivea box to store some gifts or pins. Nivea is a German brand with a long tradition - over 100 years of developing skincare products. I couldn't find when the Nivea Soft was made but it's also a product that you can find for quite a long time in drugstores, the Soft Mix Me trio is a new version of the cream, the formula is a bit different since the scent is different but it's the same product as classic version. What's interesting Nivea Soft series is based on the same key ingredient as traditional Nivea Cream (and probably all Nivea products, sorry I didn't have time to check the whole series which contains too many products to easily make it) - Eucerit. So how does the basic form look like? At least in Europe, it looks like this:

Nivea Soft

Aqua, Glycerin, Paraffinum Liquidum, Myristyl Alcohol, Butylene Glycol, Alcohol Denat., Stearic Acid, Myristyl Myristate, Cera Microcristallina, Glyceryl Stearate, Hydrogenated Coco-Glycerides, Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, Lanolin Alcohol (Eucerit®), Polyglyceryl-2 Caprate, Dimethicone, Sodium Hydroxide, Carbomer, Phenoxyethanol, Linalool, Citronellol, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Limonene, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzyl Salicylate, Parfum

Nivea Soft Mix Me

The soft mix me series contains three different scents but all the creams besides the scent are really universal - you can use them for face, body or hands. Because of the ingredients, I've decided to go for testing it on my legs since my face is not a fan of Stearic Acid but we will talk about it later. Why is this limited edition called mix me? You can use every of the product separate, they all have amazing scents but if you mix 2 of them or 3 of them together - there's the whole magic.

Nivea Soft Mix Me I Am The Happy Exotic One

Nivea Soft Mix Me I Am The Happy Exotic One cream has a yellow colour which actually fits this scent very well. The illustration of the packaging tells us that this product will smell like pineapple, coconut and some oranges I guess, in fact, this scent smells like pina colada.

Aqua, Glycerin, Paraffinum Liquidum, Myristyl Alcohol, Butylene Glycol, Alcohol Denat., Stearic Acid, Myristyl Myristate, Cera Microcristallina, Glyceryl Stearate, Hydrogenated Coco-Glycerides, Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, Lanolin Alcohol (Eucerit®), Polyglyceryl-2 Caprate, Dimethicone, Sodium Hydroxide, Carbomer, Phenoxyethanol, Limonene, Coumarin, Citronellol, Parfum

Nivea Soft Mix Me I Am The Chilled Oasis One

Nivea Soft Mix Me I Am The Chilled Oasis One is not blue as by the name Oasis we would think but it's a green coloured box with some green leaves drawing. It doesn't smell like leaves but it smells more like a lime and mint but I've decided to check this on the internet and it's actually mint and leaves of the lilies.

Aqua, Glycerin, Paraffinum Liquidum, Myristyl Alcohol, Butylene Glycol, Alcohol Denat., Stearic Acid, Myristyl Myristate, Cera Microcristallina, Glyceryl Stearate, Hydrogenated Coco-Glycerides, Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, Lanolin Alcohol (Eucerit®), Polyglyceryl-2 Caprate, Dimethicone, Sodium Hydroxide, Carbomer, Phenoxyethanol, Linalool, Geraniol, Limonene, Citronellol, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzyl Salicylate, Parfum

Nivea Soft Mix Me I Am The Berry Charming

Last but not least is Nivea Soft Mix Me I Am The Berry Charming in a pink jar with cherries, strawberries and raspberries illustration and this one has a strong berry scent even more like a raspberry syrup.

Aqua, Glycerin, Paraffinum Liquidum, Myristyl Alcohol, Butylene Glycol, Alcohol Denat., Stearic Acid, Myristyl Myristate, Cera Microcristallina, Glyceryl Stearate, Hydrogenated Coco-Glycerides, Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, Lanolin Alcohol (Eucerit®), Polyglyceryl-2 Caprate, Dimethicone, Sodium Hydroxide, Carbomer, Phenoxyethanol, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzyl Salicylate, Linalool, Geraniol, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Citronellol, Limonene, Parfum

How about ingredients?

As we can see only scent ingredients such as Limonene, Citronellol, etc are in a different position since they make scents not similar in each version of the cream. Oasis one is probably my favourite since it's very refreshing, my least favourite is Exotic because it feels to be very sweet and bland. But when you mix Oasis and Exotic and forget about Charming it smells a bit like a toothpaste but a good toothpaste. The creams are sold separately or as a trio. I think it's a light moisturizer that I can easily use during the night - not every moisturizer is light enough to put it on legs during the summer night but this one is not heavy and it leaves a delicate film on the skin and makes skin soft. So why I do not want to put this cream on my face? If you've got acne prone skin you'll notice here ingredients like Myristyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid or Myristyl Myristate that can be comedogenic. Also, people with allergies and sensitive skin should do a patch test before using this cream since it contains scent ingredients.

My first impression is quite positive and I'm so glad that Nivea comes with many limited versions. Let me know what do you think about this trio.
