 Ärztin Regeneration Schild Crème

Korean brands have many different names. Some names came from the Korean language like Jumiso. We've got French names like Laneige, English names like The Face Shop and I still strongly believe that O Hui got inspired by Slavic countries, but this time I want to introduce you to Ärztin - a brand which I thought it's a German company but it's a Korean skincare brand. I've tested Ärztin Regeneration Schild Crème, and I want to share with you my first impressions.

About the brand Ärztin

Ärztin is a Korean skincare company. If you know the German language, then you might already know the meaning of the name. Ärztin is a female doctor (male doctor is Arzt). According to an article on KBS in 2013 the brand was set up after years of planning, and development. The name came from founder - Dr Yu Kyung-ah who's a dermatologist (and a woman). The "German" vibe of the products came from German skincare products. Ärztin is a cosmeceutical brand - they make dermatologist-tested products which I would prefer to use on client's skin as an esthetician than the actual brands I used during the internship. Vichy has Allier River and Ärztin has Nordenau healing water.

Let's start with ingredients. So what's inside? Glycerin is the best moisturizer we can find in skincare products. Propanediol is a solvent, very popular in eco products. Dimethicone is a good silicone, it keeps your skin moist and safe. Cyclopentasiloxane is another famous silicone in a skincare product, they usually go along, because they are great emollients. Pentaerythrityl Tetraethylhexanoate is an emollient, just like C12-16 Alcohols, Palmitic Acid, Isohexadecane, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil and Shea Butter. Adenosine speeds up the wound healing process. Allantoin is a great soothing moisturizer which you might remember from the old days when Allantoin and Panthenol ointments were popular for kids. Beeswax is not a vegan-friendly ingredient, but it's a good emollient. Cholesterol is an ingredient that naturally occurs in the skin. It keeps your lipid barrier strong and your skin moist. Squalane is the best oil and emollient for your skin - it's an oil that barely ever clogs anyone. Asiaticoside, Asiatic Acid and Madecassic Acid are derived from Centella, they speed up the healing process. The cream is based on growth factors: SH-Oligopeptide-1, RH-Oligopeptide-1, RH-Oligopeptide-2 and RH-Polypeptide-1. I like them because they speed up the healing process.

Ärztin Regeneration Schild Crème - how do I feel about using this cream?

The packaging of looks very professional - nice design of the box and inside the box I found a tube with a cream, that reminded me of Allantoin ointment or any professional ointment from a pharmacy. It gives the "German" vibe. I was suspecting to try a heavy cream, but it turned that Ärztin Regeneration Schild Crème is a lightweight moisturizer with full power! This cream has no scent which in my opinion is an advantage. I was scared that this cream might be too heavy for combo skin. Lately, I've been dealing with the feeling of dryness and acne. Ärztin Regeneration Schild Crème is great if you have problems with dehydration. Honestly, my skin didn't feel so good for ages, I even use it under my eyes instead of eye cream because of the lightweight formula that doesn't sensitize my skin. My eye area is very sensitive, but I feel like this product is excellent for wrinkle-care and destroyed the lipid barrier of the skin. I've tried this cream for only 2 weeks so it's hard to give you a full review. It works with my makeup - I usually use Tiger Drops from Dr Jart as a base product and cushions like Pony and G9Skin. For me, the formula is satisfying since it keeps my skin moist and it doesn't clog my pores + my eye area loves it! I've never seen a product from cosmeceutical brand in Europe based on Growth Factors - maybe I didn't do my research well, but I feel like in general European brands do not base their products on Growth Factors. There's only one thing I don't like about Arztin as a brand - lack of information in English - I've heard that German translations made by the brand are not always accurate, but the brochure that came to me with the product was in German which I still find problematic for me since German scared me off.
