Skincare summer faves 2020

Hanyul Yuja Sleeping Mask

I have to admit - I'm not a fan of summer, even if it has one beneficial effect on my skincare stash. I get more sunscreens than I need, but I guess every skincare addict has this issue. Summer is not only about sunscreens, but it can help you find new solutions. Today, I'll show you a few products which make my summer (and life) easy.

Kolastyna Ochronny Roll-on Na Słońce Dla Dzieci SPF30 (Kolastyna Sun Protecting Roll-On SPF 30)

Kolastyna Ochronny Roll-on Na Słońce Dla Dzieci SPF30 (Kolastyna Sun Protecting Roll-On SPF 30)

Aqua, Octocrylene, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Homosalate, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Pentylene Glycol, Disopropyl Adipate, Phenylbenzimidazole Sulfonic Acid, Glycerin, Arginine, Ethylhexyl Isononanoate, 7-Dehydrocholesterol, Sodium Hyaluronate, 1,2-Hexanediol, Acrylates/Beheneth-25 Methacrylate Copolymer, Acrylates/C12-22 Alkyl Methacrylate Copolymer, Allantoin,, Alpha-Glucan Oligosaccharide, Arachis Hypogaea Oil, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Beta-Carotene, Beta-Glucan, Bisabolol, Caprylyl Glycol, Carnosine, Cellulose gum, Citric Acid, Daucus Carota Sativa Extract, Decylene Glycol, Disodium EDTA, Ethylhexylglycerin, Fructose, Glucose, Glyceryl Oleate, Glyceryl Stearate, Hydrogenated Palm Glyceride, Isopropyl Myristate, Lecithin, Maltose, Microcrystalline cellulose, Octyldodecanol, Panthenol, Parfum, PEG-100 Stearate, Polyacrylate, Crosspolymer-6, Polyglyceryl-3 Methylglucose Distearate, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Potato Starch Modified, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Lactate, Sodium PCA, t-Butyl Alcohol, Tocopherol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Trehalose, Urea, Xanthan Gum, BHT, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Benzoate

I'm not a fan of Western Sunscreens, they are usually oily. Lately, Polish brands started to step up their sunscreen game which is something I would never expect. That's why I ended up with additional sunscreens with infrared protection. I needed a product to reapply my sunscreen on my hands during the day and that's how I found Kolastyna Sun Protecting Roll-On SPF 30 - even if it's a product for kids and the protection is weak for me since I'm a very pale person so I'm more likely to choose SPF 50+ than SPF 30, still the application process is so easy - although I don't find it very hygienic. Still, I'll recommend it, because it's an affordable option and it fits in a bag. Any protection is better than no protection - especially if you're in a higher risk group of skin cancer.

Rohto Hada Labo Shirojyun Premium Whitening Jelly Essence

Tranexamic Acid, Water, Propanediol, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Ascorbyl Glucoside, Tocopherol, Coix Lacryma-Jobi Ma-yuen Seed Extract, Saxifraga Sarmentosa Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis Leaf Extract, Hamamelis Virginiana Extract, Cynara Scolymus Leaf Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis Leaf Oil, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil, Mentha Arvensis Leaf Oil, Polysorbate 20, Diglycerin, PPG-20 METHYL GLUCOSE ETHER, Sorbitol, Carbomer, PEG-8 , Xanthan Gum, PEG-30, Bis-Ethoxydiglycol Cyclohexane 1,4-Dicarboxylate, Disodium EDTA, Menthol, PEG-32, Sodium Metabisulfite, Propylene Glycol, Alcohol Denat, Methylparaben

I got this Rohto Hada Labo Shirojyun Premium Whitening Jelly Essence year ago after @kociamberwpodrozy recommended it to me, but I didn't use it. I've decided to open it this year for a reason - it has a cooling effect. When I got this essence, it was quite late summer. It was a clever move to open it at the beginning of the summer because it's my life-saver. I hate warm temperatures and the cooling effect (thanks to Menthol and Cornmint Oil) is perfect. Rohto Hada Labo Shirojyun Premium Whitening Jelly Essence contains tranexamic acid. I don't want to say this product is good for melasma, because as long as tranexamic acid is recommended for people with melasma, I didn't check all the ingredients yet, but once I make a review of this essence, I'll let you know.

KAO Biore Athlizm Sunburn Protect Milk Spf50+ Pa++++

KAO Biore Athlizm Sunburn Protect Milk Spf50+ Pa++++

Dimethicone, Titanium Dioxide, Alcohol, Water, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Isopropyl Palmitate, Lauryl Methacrylate/Sodium Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Zinc Oxide, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate, Neopentyl Glycol Dicaprate, PEG-3 Dimethicone, Aluminum Hydroxide, Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine, Glycerin, C30-45 Alkyl Methicone, Dipropylene Glycol, C30-45 Olefin, Acrylates/Dimethicone Copolymer, Methicone, Polysilicone-9, 4-T-Butylcyclohexanol, Dipentaerythrityl Tri-Polyhydroxystearate, Silica, Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Tin Oxide, Iron Oxides, Menthyl Lactate, Menthol, Talc, BHT, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance

Another Japanese beauty product. I guess I've never made J-beauty review here, but don't worry - at least 3 reviews are coming. My first impression of this sunscreen was positive, but now I started to change my opinion. KAO Biore Athlizm Sunburn Protect Milk Spf50+ Pa++++ got popular due to infrared protection. It might not mean a lot to you, but if you have melasma or have a very low tolerance for light and heat just like I do, IR sunscreens can help you with skin changes. In my case, it helps with redness. KAO Biore Athlizm Sunburn Protect Milk Spf50+ Pa++++. This sunscreen has a colour and scent. It makes my face a bit paler than normal - for me, it's not a problem, but some people do not like products that will make them look white. I don't like that in mineral sunscreen, but here it's okay. The problem for me is oiliness of the sunscreen. It's better for dry skin, even if alcohol is quite high. Another issue is the fact, that this sunscreen needs some time before you apply makeup so if you need to do your makeup quickly - no way. It leaves your skin dewy and shiny, but if you think that after using foundation and setting spray your makeup with this sunscreen will stay in one place then you're wrong. I feel like it doesn't like to stick to the skin, but if you don't wear makeup and need sunscreen for dry to normal skin then it might be a good choice.

The Saem Mild Sun Cushion (Overprotection Bunny Edition)

The Saem Mild Sun Cushion (Overprotection Bunny Edition)

C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Disodium EDTA, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Diphenylsiloxy Phenyl Trimethicone, Malt Extract, Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Boron Nitride, Hedera Helix (Ivy) Leaf/Stem Extract, Sodium Chloride, Acrylates/Polytrimethylsiloxymethacrylate Copolymer, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Pisum Sativum (Pea) Extract, Isododecane, Averrhoa Carambola Fruit Extract, Caprylyl Methicone, Glycerin, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Polymethyl Methacrylate, CI 77492, Mica, Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil, Methyl Pyrrolidone, Cyclohexasiloxane, Acrylates Copolymer, Dimethicone, Lauryl PEG-9 Polydimethylsiloxyethyl Dimethicone, Cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1 Dimethicone, Sodium Benzoate, Flavor, Silica, Aloe Ferox Leaf Extract, Cetearyl Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Hovenia Dulcis Fruit Extract, Titanium Dioxide

I have mixed feelings on sun cushions. They are quick to use and they don't take too much place in your bag. On a disadvantage side we've got puff cleansing and a small amount, but high price. The Saem Mild Sun Cushion is an affordable product which I wouldn't imagine I'll enjoy so much. It doesn't remove your makeup or leave a white cast. The scent is mild, but I guess it's because the product is targetted to kids and women with kids. It's a universal sunscreen which entire family can use (but maybe think about buying separate cushions for each family members). The Overprotection Bunny Edition stole my heart and I guess once I can order products from South Korea once again, The Saem Mild Sun Cushion will be one of the sunscreens I plan to order.

Whamisa Organic Flowers Olive Mist

Whamisa Organic Flowers Olive Mist

Whamisa is a K-beauty organic brand which used to be popular when Glow Recipe was a K-beauty shop (before it changed to skincare brand), but lately, it lost the popularity - at least that's what I feel. And I'm sad about it because Whamisa has redesigned the packaging and new Whamisa Organic Flowers Olive Mist in a glass packaging is even better than the old version. I've made a review of this mist before, Olive version is ideal for summer, especially for oily skin, dry skin will prefer a rose version which in my opinion looks even more spectacular.

Urban Decay All-Nighter Setting Spray

Aqua / Water, Alcohol Denat., PVP, Dimethicone PEG-7 Phosphate, PPG-3 Benzyl Ether Myristate, Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Dipropylene Glycol, Isononyl Isononanoate, Ethylhexyl Isononanoate, Caprylyl Glycol, Sodium Cocamidopropyl PG-Dimonium Chloride Phosphate, Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Glycereth-5 Lactate, Sodium Hydroxide, Phenylpropanol, Parfum / Fragrance, Propanediol, Methyl Diisopropyl Propionamide, Poloxamer 407, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder, Maltodextrin, Hexyl Cinnamal, Linalool, Citronellol, Limonene, Benzyl Alcohol, Tocopherol, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, BHT

I always thought that setting spray is the biggest bullsh*t that ever existed, but thanks to 2020 after I started to wear a mask in public places, I've switched from mineral powder to setting spray. Urban Decay All-Nighter Setting Spray doesn't make my face look dry, If you use cushions, mineral powders usually take away entire glow, but setting sprays are keeping your makeup in one place without making your face look dry and matte. Plus, it doesn't make a mess. I started to understand why this is a cult product!

Jo Malone London Yuja Cologne

Jo Malone London Yuja Cologne

Fragrance Family: Earthy & Woody
Scent Type: Citrus & Woods
Key Notes: Yuja, Clary Sage, Fir Balsam

I do not review perfumes for one simple reason - the majority of popular brands are sensitizing me. Jo Malone is an exception. No matter if it's a heavy or light scent, my nose fully accepts it. I wanted to get the new scent because last year I got Hemlock & Bergamot which my bunny hates (Hemlock is bad for bunnies, she can't stand even the scent of it). It turned out that few days before Jo Malone released a new series of scents and one of them was Yuja. If you follow me for a bit longer then you probably know how much I love Hanyul Yuja series. According to one local shop, this scent is inspired by Seoul. Even then the name fits since Yuja is a Korean name, and Yuzu is Japanese. I was hoping for a very fresh and juicy scent. Jo Malone London Yuja Cologne is fresh but bit powdery and herbal. Still, it's a scent which I can enjoy during the warm days.

Dr Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass Calming Mist

Cicapair series is a masterpiece series in my opinion. And Dr Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass Calming Mist is not different from other products made by Dr Jart+ which I had a chance to try. The mist drops are ultra-tiny. It won't destroy your makeup during the day, the scent is delicate and there's a size option. Sadly, Sephora in Poland had only small versions, but it's an ideal city mist - you can but it in a bag and use it when you need it. I'll try to make a review of this mist with Cicapair Cream, but you can compare that some ingredients here are the same as in Color Treatment or Tiger Drops.

Mediheal Masking Layering Ampoule Exceltoning Shot

Salvia Officinalis (Sage) Leaf Extract, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Water, 1,2-Hexanediol, Niacinamide, Alcohol, Hydrolysed Hyaluronic Acid, Isopentyldiol, Propanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethythexylglycerin, Sodium Polyacryloyldimethyl Taurate, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Adenosine, Polyglceryl-4 Oleate, Sucrose Palmitate, Citric Acid, Ceramide NP (Ceramide 3), Madecassoside, Trideceth-10, Glyceryl Acrylate/Acrylic Acid Copolymer, Beta Glucan, Dextrin, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Asiaticoside, PVP, Fullerenes, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Salvia Officinalis (Sage) Oil

I got Mediheal Masking Layering Ampoule Exceltoning Shot with my Jo Malone order because I needed to spend an only tiny bit more to get free shipping. To be honest, I wanted to get the entire series and I wish I did that! These ampoules are amazing! You can put them under a sheet mask or algae mask. You can use it with compressed masks or as a step in your skincare. They are super hydrating. Each box contains 3 ampoules and for my tiny face, one ampoule is enough for 6-8 uses. It's a summer must-have!

Aveeno Baby Daily Care Baby Gentle Wash

Aveeno Baby Daily Care Baby Gentle Wash

Aqua, Glycerin, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Lauroamphoacetate, Coco-Glucoside, Sodium Chloride, Hydroxypropyl Starch Phosphate, Avena Sativa Kernel Flour, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Olea Europaea Leaf Extract, Chamomilla Recutita Extract, Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil, Sarcosine, Magnesium Aspartate, Potassium Aspartate, Polyquaternium-7, Polysorbate 20, Sodium Cocoyl Amino Acids, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Propylene Glycol, Citric Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, Tocopherol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Sulfite, Parfum

I posted on Instagram a post on razor bumps, body acne and folliculitis. I'm trying to take better care of my body and since Cerave Body Wash was quite expensive, I found Aveeno Baby Daily Care Baby Gentle Wash for less than 5$. Oats are amazing for acne, but in this case, I got mixed feelings. On one hand, I enjoy it, but on the other hand, I know that I got low oat tolerance and not every part of my body enjoys it so when I use it, I have to be careful to not wash some parts of my with it. If you have no allergies - try this product, it's delicate and has a mild scent, it might help you with body acne.

TIA'M Anti Blemish Body Lotion Back & Chest

Water, Niacinamide, Propanediol, Alcohol, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Calamine, Dimethicone, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Polysorbate 60, Cetearyl Alcohol, Arachidyl Alcohol, Behenyl Alcohol, Arachidyl Glucoside, Sorbitan Stearate, Allantoin, Salicylic Acid, Lactic Acid, Zinc Pca, (-)-Alpha-Bisabolol, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Mentha Viridis (Spearmint) Leaf Oil, Methylpropanediol, Laurylpyridinium Chloride, Polyacrylate-13, Polyisobutene, Polysorbate 20, Tocopheryl Acetate, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil

If you got body acne then you know that the same treatments don't usually work. I'm dealing with body acne for ages, I plan to do some stronger treatments once summer is over, but before that happens, summer usually means bigger problems with body acne. Year ago I've tester TIA'M Anti Blemish Body Lotion Back & Chest and shared the results on Instagram. This lotion can do miracles! Sadly, I do not know any EU stores that sell it and it worries me because it's my number one body acne product. It contains Niacinamide, AHA (Lactic Acid) & BHA (Salicylic Acid) which makes it a powerful product to treat body acne (razor bumps and folliculitis too).

I've posted a review of Dr.Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass Camo Drops in May. I still think it's one of the best products if you are not a fan of makeup, but you want to tone your skin a little bit. Camo Drops are better for oily skin, but one of my friends are using cream during the summer as well - I didn't even notice she has no makeup. It balances redness of the skin well.

I'm aware that Hanyul has a special product for summer - Yuja Ice Sleeping Mask - but I couldn't get this mask due to shipping issues. Still, I believe that Hanyul Yuja Sleeping Mask is all you need during the summer. It's a lightweight mask with light brightening effect - it'll make your skin looking less dull and during the summer it cools down your skin. Plus the fresh Yuja scent is so good. I made a review of this mask last year since then I've been searching for two different versions of Yuja mask because I think this series is amazing!

Another product which you probably know well. I had a problem figuring out if this is a cleanser or a mask. It's both! You can use it as a mask and cleanser. If you plan to travel somewhere (even if this year travelling is complicated), this mask is will save you some space, since you can use it on your face as a mask, as a cleanser or put it on a pimple and leave for few minutes since it's a Clay + Mugwort combination.

Naisture Cica Repair Cream

Water (Aqua), Glycerin, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Butylene Glycol, Cetearyl Alcohol, Propanediol, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Glyceryl Stearate, 1,2-Hexanediol, Centella Asiatica Extract, Camellia japonica seed oil (Camellia oil), Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Houttuynia Cordata Extract, Swertia Japonica Extract, Salvia Miltiorrhiza Root Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Ficus Carica (Fig) Fruit/Leaf Extract, Salix Nigra (Willow) Bark Extract, Ceramide NP, Panthenol, Cetearyl Glucoside, Glucose, Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, Carbomer, Xanthan Gum, Caprylyl Glycol, Allantoin, Ethylhexylglycerin, Arginine, Disodium EDTA

How do you treat your post-acne pigmentation? I guess you use AHA, BHA, Vitamin C and other active substances. But do you know that when your skin has problems with post-acne pigmentation, ingredients that help with wound healing can have better results? That's why I started to use Naisture Cica Repair Cream. I can't admit that my face has no acne problem because it still has it due to stress, diet and stuff, but one of the red spots which I couldn't cure for a few months now is gone! I recommend you to check products with Centella or Madecassoside for your acne. They make a huge change! Naisture Cica Repair Cream is nice, even if the texture is bit oily, but it gives your skin dewy look.

SVR SUN SECURE Huile SPF50

SVR SUN SECURE Huile SPF50

Dicaprylyl Carbonate, C12-15 Aklyl Benzoate, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl, Hexyl Benzoate, Homosalate, Ethylhexyl methocinnamate, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Ethylhexyl Triazone, Coco-Caprylate/ Caprate, Polyester-7, Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol, Methoxyphenyl Triazine, Neopentyl Glycol, Diheptanoate, Beta-Carotene, Caprylhydroxamic Acid, Daucus Carota Sativa Root Extract, Glycine Soja Oil, Hydrogenated Phosphatidylcholine, Lecithin, Lepidium Satvum Sprout Extract, Phenethyl Alcohol, Tocopherol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Aqua, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Caprylyl Glycol, Disodium EDTA, Lysolecithin, Parfum

My biggest problem with this oil sunscreen is the intensive scent and the fact that it has an orange colour. If your skin is white and cold just like mine, it might make your skin look more yellow, but besides that - it's a sunscreen which I would recommend to anyone who wants to look like they have a nice tan without harming your skin. SVR SUN SECURE Huile SPF50 has high protective values, it gives your skin a very delicate colour and application is easy.

La Roche Posay Serozinc

Aqua, Sodium Chloride, Zinc Sulfate

Last, but not least is this cult product from La Roche Posay, Serozinc is like mineral water for sensitive skin. It has only three ingredients, no scent and it does miracles during the warm days or when your skin feels irritated. It's good to have it in your skincare stash.

Where to buy a Roche Posay Serozinc?

Are there any products which you can't imagine your summer without?
