About Axis-y

Axis-y is quite a young K-beauty brand. According to Axis-y's Facebook page, the brand started in December 2019. The brand makes climate-inspired skincare solutions. What does that mean? Our skin has to deal with lots of dangers like pollution, UV radiation (free radicals) and change in weather and temperatures. The real challenge for the skincare brand is to make a product that will be effective, and at the same time, it'll deal with our lifestyles. All products from Axis-y contain natural plant extracts, and the brand itself believes that skincare should be personal. The company keeps a great connection with customers on Instagram. I think it's crucial for beauty brands. We might not always agree, but respecting each other is better than some companies who try to bully people for saying their honest opinion out loud. All Axis-y products contain 6-1-1 Advanced Formula which should work for problematic skin as well as for people in humid climates.

Axis-y is vegan-friendly and cruelty-free, the brand can be found on PETA's brand list. Before Axis-y can sell you a new product, each product goes through tests, before it can be released by Korea Dermatology Research Institute.

Axis-y Dark Spot Correcting Glow Serum - Packaging

Have you ever seen a serum in a tube form? I didn't, but Axis-y likes to create products that are not so obvious in the form. It's a unique conception. In a paper box that fits the entire line's aesthetic, you can find a tube with an applicator. It's not a common packaging of any serum. It's quite a revolutionary packaging.

Axis-y Dark Spot Correcting Glow Serum - Texture & Scent

The texture reminds me of lightweight but thick gel with tea tree scent, but it's probably rosemary oil not tea tree in this case. It's a well-concentrated formula.

Axis-y Dark Spot Correcting Glow Serum - Ingredients

Water, Glycerin, Niacinamide, Sodium Hyaluronate, Propanediol, Erythritol, Butylene Glycol, Squalane, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Extract, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Carica Papaya (Papaya) Fruit Extract, Hippophae Rhamnoides Fruit Extract, Malpighia Glabra (Acerola)Fruit Extract, Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate, Chlorphenesin, Arginine, Ethylhexylglycerin, Carbomer, Glutathione, 1,2-Hexanediol, Hydroxypropyl Cyclodextrin, Disodium EDTA, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Allantoin, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil

Water hides in a cosmetic product under names such as Aqua or Eau. It's a solvent, but it's not your regular drinking water. If we want to use water in skincare products, we need to make sure this water is clean and free from minerals, any microorganisms or other substances. Usually, water makes up the majority of the content of the product. Glycerin or Glycerol is a humectant. Its origin can be natural or synthetic - depending on the product. It protects TEWL (transepidermal water loss) and naturally occurs in the skin. It's one of the NMFs - natural moisturizing factors. It's practical in haircare. Glycerin won't clog your skin or irritate it just the opposite - it protects your skin from irritation. Niacinamide is a form of vitamin B3 - a vitamin soluble in water. It helps with wrinkles, acne, skin texture, and enlarged pores and promotes collagen synthesis. Niacinamide makes the skin barrier stronger, and it might be handy in cellulite treatments. Do you want to fight pigmentation or uneven skin? Try mixing niacinamide with Kojic Acid, Arbutin, Vitamin C, Tranexamic Acid or Retinol. Sodium Hyaluronate is a salt form of a popular Natural Moisturizing Factor - Hyaluronic Acid. Propanediol is also known as natural glycol - an alternative for propylene glycol. Propanediol is a solvent with additional moisturizing properties. It makes the texture of the product smooth to touch, and it can even improve the effectiveness of active ingredients. Erythritol is a sugar alcohol, so it's not a surprise why brands use this ingredient in products - sugars have moisturizing properties. Butylene Glycol is a common ingredient in products. It's not only a solvent. We use butylene glycol because it helps with the penetration of active ingredients, protects products from drying and moisturizes skin and hair. This ingredient can prevent hair loss and make your hair stronger. Squalane is an ingredient which I believe everyone should enjoy. In nature, Squalane occurs in human sebum, and it protects the skin from dehydration. Sadly, with age, the amount of Squalane in sebum decreases. Usually, Squalane in your skincare products comes from olives or sugar cane. It's a light, stable oil with a single bond (squalENE has double bonds, and both these ingredients shouldn't be mistaken). It has no colour and scent. It's perfect for sensitive skin and dehydrated skin since it strengthens the lipid barrier. It speeds up the healing process, and it won't clog your skin. Rice bran is a brown part of the rice which is removed when rice is converted from brown to white. It's a source of antioxidants like vitamin E and oryzanol. Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Extract has moisturizing and anti-aging properties.

Calendula Officinalis Flower Extractor Marigold Extract is a plant, in Europe we use as a herbal medicine herb. It's antioxidant and astringent with anti-inflammatory properties. According to Axis-y, it relieves sunburn, itching and eczema. Carica Papaya (Papaya) Fruit Extract can help with skin brightening and dark circles. Hippophae Rhamnoides Fruit Extract is a source of Vitamin C. Companies use different terms like Russian gold or Finnish gold to show the origins of these berries. Sea Buckthorn is a berry typical for Northern Europe and Asia. You can find sea buckthorn jam in some countries. It has a small flaw for acne-prone skin - it contains Vitamin B12 which is better for dry skin than oily skin, but some of my friends who have oily skin still love Sea Buckthorn in every form. Malpighia Glabra (Acerola) Fruit Extract is a strong anti-oxidant and a source of Vitamin C. It fights free radicals that cause premature aging. It also has brightening properties. Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate is a gentle surfactant. Chlorphenesin is a synthetic ingredient used as a preservative in cosmetics. Arginine is an amino acid. It helps with protein biosynthesis in adults. According to research from 1964, a lack of arginine might raise your chance to get an HSV infection. Ethylhexylglycerin is a preservative with subtle moisturizing and antimicrobial properties. Carbomer is a thickener and stabilizer. You can often see it in gel formulas. Glutathione is an antioxidant with rising popularity. This ingredient is very popular in countries like the Philippines as a skin whitening substance. You can use it on the skin, but you can find some clinics that offer oral treatments or injections. I would recommend staying away from injections (not only Glutathione injections) and being careful with supplements/oral treatments. Glutathione should help you with pigmentation and melasma. I think you can find better ingredients and treatments than Glutathione ones to brighten the pigmentation. 1,2-Hexanediol is a synthetic solvent and preservative - it protects products from microorganisms by boosting other preservatives. At the same time, it can moisturize the skin, and it has no unpleasant effects on your epidermis. Hydroxypropyl Cyclodextrin works as a chelating ingredient. Disodium EDTA neutralizes metal ions in the formula to keep products fresh for a longer time. Hydroxyethylcellulose is a thickener. Allantoin is a powerful ingredient in skincare, and I think we have all known it since the early days. My family didn't imagine my childhood without this cream. Allantoin derives from comfrey, and it has soothing properties, but it also speeds up the healing process, which makes it ideal for acne-prone skin and sensitive skin. Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil is an essential oil, awesome for acne-prone skin because it has antibacterial properties, but sensitive skin might not be a fan of it.

My experience with Axis-y Dark Spot Correcting Glow Serum

I tested this serum before, and I'm aware Axis-y Dark Spot Correcting Glow Serum is a favourite product for many people. In my case, the worst problem in this serum is niacinamide which makes my skin red. This product contains 5% of niacinamide, in this concentration you should see a visible difference. You can use it on the entire face or as a spot treatment. If your skin is sensitive just like mine is - you can try it as a spot treatment.

Water hides in a cosmetic product under names such as Aqua or Eau. It's a solvent, but it's not your regular drinking water. If we want to use water in skincare products, we need to make sure this water is clean and free from minerals, any microorganisms or other substances. Propanediol is a solvent with additional moisturizing properties. It makes the texture of the product smooth to touch, and it can even improve the effectiveness of active ingredients. 1,2-Hexanediol is a synthetic solvent and preservative - it protects products from microorganisms by boosting other preservatives. At the same time, it can moisturize the skin, and it has no unpleasant effects on your epidermis. Glycereth-26 is an ingredient related to Glycerin. It's an emollient with moisturizing properties. Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride is a combination of coconut oil and glycerin. It's a notable emollient, quite common in skincare. It leaves a protective film on the surface of the epidermis to save your cutis from dehydration. Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride has a significant role in skincare products - it makes the application process effortless. Some people might experience pore-clogging after using Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, but pore-clogging and skin reactions to ingredients are individual. What works for you might not work for someone else. Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract is a classic moisturizer with soothing properties. Some people might be allergic to aloe. My problem with aloe is that if you prepare aloe in a "wrong" way, it can sensitize the skin. Althaea Rosea Flower Extract or Common Hollyhock Flower Extract is supposed to moisturize and soothe the skin. In herbal medicine, this plant is considered to be an emollient with soothing properties. Laminaria Japonica Extract or Saccharina japonica is a seaweed extract. This plant is also called Dasima, Haidai, Kombu or Ma-konbu. It's an edible seaweed, but usually, it is used as a soothing, moisturizing and anti-inflammatory ingredient in skincare. Eclipta Prostrata Leaf Extract is a nourishing ingredient. Eclipta Prostrata or False Daisy is a plant used in traditional medicine.

Let's test Community Choice Set: Axis-y Dark Spot Correcting Glow Serum, Axis-y Complete No-Stress Physical Sunscreen and Axis-y Spot The Difference Blemish Treatment review

Centella Asiatica Extract is probably the most popular extract in skincare. It comes under a few names - Asiatic pennywort, tiger grass or Gotu kola. Centella Asiatica's roots are in Ayurveda. This extract is successful for a reason - it's a source of triterpene saponins - madecassoside and asiaticoside. Centella Asiatica Extract has anti-inflammatory properties. It speeds up the wound healing process. You can use it to treat acne since it has soothing and antibacterial properties. It boosts fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin or even helps with hyaluronic acid synthesis. Centella is recommended for rosacea and cellulitis since it helps with blood microcirculation. In haircare, Centella can help with hair growth. Ficus Carica (Fig) Fruit Extract is quite common in skincare, but what does it do? It is supposed to be an antioxidant, but I know it as a sun-sensitive ingredient which you should use before light therapy. It can help with inflammation and moisture. Ulmus Davidiana Root Extract is an ingredient related to hanbang - traditional Korean medicine. It's an antioxidant with moisturizing and anti-inflammatory properties. Amaranthus Caudatus Seed Extract is an ingredient associated with moisturizing properties, it might even be considered an emollient. In haircare, we use amaranthus caudatus as an ingredient to make brushing easier and help nourish the damaged hair. Amaranthus Caudatus is also called the Love Lies Bleeding plant and in the Victorian era, it was a symbol of hopeless love. Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract is an antioxidant with enormous popularity and use. You can use it as a moisturizer for both dry and oily skin or as an acne treatment due to its antibacterial properties. Maybe you fight with wrinkles, and you need support? It's an antioxidant, and it can repair your skin after the damage made by UV light (since UVA is helping your skin in aging) and free radicals. Even sensitive skin is a fan of this soothing humectant. Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Extract is an extract form of the tea tree. You probably know Tea Tree as an essential oil ingredient. EO's are controversial because they are not as safe as people think. Essential oils are similar to Alcohol, some are positive and some are negative because they can cause allergic reactions and be phototoxic or photosensitive. Tea Tree Oil is a good guy, it's super helpful in curing acne. It shouldn't be used straight on your skin, it needs to be diluted. It has antibacterial and antiseptic properties just like an extract. You probably know Melia Azadirachta Leaf Extract as Neem. It's a plant typical for India, Sri Lanka or Pakistan. Neem comes from Ayurveda, and it's told to have antiseptic, antibacterial and antifungal properties. Cinnamomum Camphora (Camphor) Leaf Extract has anti-inflammatory properties. Cryptomeria Japonica Leaf Extract is an antioxidant with anti-inflammatory and soothing properties. Pinus Pinaster Bark/Bud Extract has antimicrobial properties. Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil is an essential oil, awesome for acne-prone skin because it has antibacterial properties, but sensitive skin might not be a fan of it. Hydrogenated Lecithin is lecithin after surgery - it works as an emollient, but it is also used to encapsulate the active substance in liposomes (since they are supposed to help the active substance penetrate the skin deeper). Trehalose is sugar and another moisturizer in this formula. Octyldodeceth-16 is an emulsifier. Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer is a carbomer's distant family. It works as a stabilizer and thickener.

Tromethamine helps with the pH, to make sure your product has an ideal pH. C12-14 Pareth-12 is an emulsifier and surfactant, it makes a weak foam. Butylene Glycol is a common ingredient in products. It's not only a solvent. We use butylene glycol because it helps with the penetration of active ingredients, protects products from drying and moisturizes skin and hair. This ingredient can prevent hair loss and make your hair stronger. Xanthan Gum is a thickener and stabilizer which you can find in food and skincare. Disodium EDTA neutralizes metal ions in the formula to keep products fresh for a longer time. Ceramide NP or Ceramide 3 is an ingredient that we want to see in our products. Ceramides naturally occur in human skin, and they have a dominant role. You can find them in the lipid barrier of the skin along with cholesterol and fatty acids. Ceramide is like a cement of the skin. It makes sure that your skin won't get dehydrated. Fructooligosaccharides are an ingredient which I didn't assume it's a thing in skincare. Fructooligosaccharides are moisturizing prebiotics. Beta-glucan is a polysaccharide. It can come from yeast, seaweeds or fungi. It's one of the best moisturizers with soothing properties. It might help with reducing wrinkle visibility on the epidermis. Some sources say it might be an antioxidant. It's good to mix it with niacinamide, retinoids or use it after skincare treatments to heal the skin quicker. Beta-glucan leaves a film on the skin to prevent TEWL and lock the moisture inside the skin. Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid is a low-weight humectant. It's a form of natural moisturizing factor that occurs in our skin - Hyaluronic Acid. The smaller the molecule is, the better it works. 4-Terpineol is derived from tea tree, it has antiseptic and antibacterial properties. Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Rhizome/Root is an ingredient which sounds a bit off. Have you ever tried Licorice candy? It was one of the worst nightmares from my childhood, but after many years I can't imagine my life without Licorice, but in skincare. Since I was taught British English, I usually go with the word Liquorice and in this version, it sounds like a great name for rice alcohol. It's a source of flavonoids, Galabridin and Glycyrrhizin. Liquorice is a herb with a long tradition of use in herbal medicine. People believe Liquorice has antibacterial, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root in skincare can help you with pigmentation, and that's why I started to love Licorice. Is there anything better than the brightening effect? Glycolic Acid is an exfoliant - an AHA. Glycolic Acid has the smallest molecule of all AHA ingredients that's why it's considered to be the most effective AHA. Salicylic Acid is known as BHA, an exfoliant that helps with pore care. A small amount of Salicylic Acid cleans the pores which translate to fewer acne problems. It is recommended for acne-prone skin and young teenage skin due to these properties. Don't expect that it'll change your skin like Glycolic Acid (the most effective AHA), Salicylic Acid is mild, but its power is focused on pores. Ethylhexylglycerin is a preservative with subtle moisturizing and antimicrobial properties.

My experience with Axis-y Spot The Difference Blemish Treatment

I deal with acne a lot, especially this year it's been hard for me to deal with acne - my skin got sensitive and it can be easily irritated. Add lots of stress at work and university - it's a recipe for a skin disaster. Not to mention that the current situation in my neighbour's country didn't make it easy. Due to all the stress, pimples and painful breakouts became a tradition on my skin, and it made me lose my confidence. Acne and skin diseases usually are the reason why we lose confidence. I might be over 20, but it still matters a lot to me. Axis-y Spot The Difference Blemish Treatment came to me at a perfect time - at the moment when I really needed a spot treatment. I wasn't sure if this solution will work for me but turns out 4-Terpineol does a great job in fighting pimples without irritating them. I shouldn't use any products that aren't calming after microneedle treatment, but Axis-y Spot The Difference Blemish Treatment worked well with this treatment - still, I was waiting a week before I could use it. Since then, every time a pimple shows up on my skin, the first thing I do is to apply Axis-y Spot The Difference Blemish Treatment overnight. It should be a good acne treatment for all ages - teens and adults.

Axis-y Complete No-Stress Physical Sunscreen - Packaging

I like that Axis-y sticks to the concept of design. Each packaging looks similar. What's interesting in Axis-y Complete No-Stress Physical Sunscreen is an applicator, which makes the whole process of using this sunscreen easier. Thankfully, Axis-y didn't change the packaging while changing the formula.

Axis-y Complete No-Stress Physical Sunscreen - Texture & Scent

The product itself has a white colour, but it doesn't mean that it leaves a white cast - you will be surprised because there's no white cast. The scent is neutral. I'm pale so on my skin white cast is invisible, but if your skin is darker - you might want to see other reviews as well.

Axis-y Complete No-Stress Physical Sunscreen - Ingredients

Water, Zinc Oxide, Propylheptyl Caprylate, Butyloctyl Salicylate, Propanediol, Titanium Dioxide, Butylene Glycol Dicaprylate/Dicaprate, Dicaprylyl Ether, Caprylyl Methicone, Polyglyceryl-4 Diisostearate/Polyhydroxystearate/Sebacate, Disiloxane, Niacinamide, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Artemisia Capillaris Flower Extract, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Extract, Juniperus Virginiana Oil, Cedrus Atlantica Bark Oil, Amyris Balsamifera Bark Oil, Pogostemon Cablin Oil, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Water, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Magnesium Sulfate, Stearic Acid, Aluminum Hydroxide, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Polyglyceryl-3 Polydimethylsiloxyethyl Dimethicone, 1,2-Hexanediol, Vinyl Dimethicone/Methicone Silsesquioxane Crosspolymer, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Glyceryl Caprylate, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Adenosine, Copaifera Officinalis (Balsam Copaiba) Resin, Tocopherol, Squalane, Allantoin, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5

Zinc Oxide is an inorganic (aka mineral or physical, in chemistry inorganic means that Zinc Oxide has no Carbon atoms in its structure) sunscreen. Zinc Oxide has a wide range of UV protection. It protects your skin from UVB, UVA II and UVA I radiation. What else do we want? It leaves a white tint on the skin which many people might not like, but if you have rosacea or melasma, you should go for mineral sunscreens since it gives you even better protection. Mineral sunscreens are recommended for sensitive skin as well. Thanks to the colour, sometimes you can find cosmetic brands using Zinc Oxide as a pigment. Some brands like to add "nano" to the name of this ingredient, nano version means fewer problems with a white cast. Butyloctyl Salicylate is a solvent. Usually, it doesn't come alone. It brings some sunscreen agents to the party and makes sunscreen agents such as Avobenzone better. There's one other positive thing about Butyloctyl Salicylate, it makes the formula easy to spread that's why you can find it in some makeup formulas as well. Propanediol is also known as natural glycol - an alternative for propylene glycol. Propanediol is a solvent with additional moisturizing properties. It makes the texture of the product smooth to touch, and it can even improve the effectiveness of active ingredients. Titanium Dioxide - is a mineral sunscreen. It protects your skin from UVB and UVA (II) radiation. Usually, Titanium Dioxide leaves a white cast on the epidermis. Many people with sensitive skin prefer to use Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide instead of organic sunscreen (organic sunscreen agents contain carbon, inorganic sunscreens aka mineral sunscreens doesn't contain carbon). You might not know that, but Titanium Dioxide is a super useful colourant and sunscreen agent. If you have melasma, you want this ingredient in your sunscreen and makeup. It gives your skin a "barrier" that protects your skin from UV radiation. Butylene Glycol Dicaprylate/Dicaprate is a synthetic emollient, it leaves a delicate film on the skin. Dicaprylyl Ether is a solvent. it gives your skin a light film on the surface, but it also helps with the application of the product.

Caprylyl Methicone is an emollient and a volatile silicone. Silicones are good for the skin since they work as occlusives - what they do is protect the skin from dehydration. Volatile silicones are evaporating from the skin, they won't get absorbed by the skin, that's why you shouldn't be scared. If you're allergic then the good news is that the chance of getting allergic reactions to silicones is ultra-tiny! Still, every skin reacts differently that's why it's better to test on your own what ingredient works better for you and then decide if you want it in your makeup (or skincare) or not. Disiloxane is a volatile silicone, it evaporates from your skin quickly. Usually, people are scared of silicones in skincare, but you shouldn't - they have important properties for our skin like helping spread the texture, but they also work as occlusives to protect our skin from TEWL aka Transepidermal Water Loss. Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract or Marigold Extract is a plant, in Europe we use as a herbal medicine herb. It's antioxidant and astringent with anti-inflammatory properties. According to Axis-y, it relieves sunburn, itching and eczema. Artemisia Capillaris Flower Extract is one of the trendiest skincare ingredients in South Korea. Even if the majority of products with mugwort came in 2019, its fame is not over. Artemisia Capillaris or Chinese Mugwort has other names like Yin Chen Hao, and it's not only a herb from traditional medicine. In some countries, you can find it in cuisine. It's an antioxidant with anti-inflammatory properties. It can soothe your skin, and according to Axis-y, this ingredient lowers the temperature of the epidermis. Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Extract is an antioxidant with antifungal and antimicrobial properties. It's a source of flavonoids, resveratrol, tartaric and malic acid. Juniperus Virginiana Oil has antibacterial properties just like Cedrus Atlantica Bark Oil. Have you ever seen a thickener made out of hectorite - a white clay? Meet Disteardimonium Hectorite - it works as a stabilizer, gives your skin a sheer look, and in sunscreen formulas, it makes your UV protection even better. Magnesium Sulfate or Epsom Salt is an ingredient with a history. The name Epsom Salt comes from the city Epsom in England, but you can call it bath salt as well. It works as a stabilizer. Stearic Acid is an emollient that you can love or hate. The problem is that not every skin likes it - mine usually breaks out when you show it Stearic Acid. Aluminum Hydroxide is an emollient, but it can be used as a colourant or... a tiny help for your sunscreen. Aluminum Hydroxide is a coating for Titanium Dioxide. Triethoxycaprylylsilane helps to spread pigment evenly. Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer absorbs the sebum. Polyglyceryl-3 Polydimethylsiloxyethyl Dimethicone is a silicone, and it works as an emulsifier. Should you be scared of it? Not at all! Silicones are not as horrible as people make them.

1,2-Hexanediol is a synthetic solvent and preservative - it protects products from microorganisms by boosting other preservatives. At the same time, it can moisturize the skin, and it has no unpleasant effects on your epidermis. Polymethylsilsesquioxane is quite an unusual ingredient. It's a powder and it gives the skin silky finishing. Glyceryl Caprylate is an oily emollient and emulsifier. It derivates from plants, that's why it's Ecocert approves it. Caprylyl Glycol is a moisturizer and an oily emollient. It leaves a delicate, protective film on your skin. But that's not all, Caprylyl Glycol is useful when you want to keep your product free from unfriendly stuff like microbes. Ethylhexylglycerin is a preservative with subtle moisturizing and antimicrobial properties. Adenosine naturally occurs in the skin. One of the adenosine's roles in our bodies is being a neurotransmitter. In skincare, we use adenosine for its anti-wrinkle properties. Adenosine is an anti-inflammatory ingredient. It can boost collagen production, and at the same time, speed up the healing process. Adenosine can have positive effects on reducing redness. In haircare, adenosine can help with hair loss. Tocopherol is an antioxidant known as Vitamin E. It's an oil-soluble vitamin that fights free radicals and makes UVB protection and the natural lipid barrier stronger. It's good to mix it with vitamin C for better effects. Oily skin might react with pore-clogging to vitamin E. It is not true that vitamin E works as a preservative or helps with scars. Butylene Glycol is a common ingredient in products. It's not only a solvent. We use butylene glycol because it helps with the penetration of active ingredients, protects products from drying and moisturizes skin and hair. This ingredient can prevent hair loss and make your hair stronger. Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5 is probably one of the most amusing ingredients in this product. You might know it as Syn-Coll, a patented synthetic tripeptide. It's an ingredient that helps with ageing, it doesn't only protect collagen from degradation, but it boosts collagen production. Products contain up to 3% of Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5, and the difference in skin texture is visible after four weeks.

My experience with Axis-y Complete No-Stress Physical Sunscreen

Axis-y has changed the formula of Axis-y Complete No-Stress Physical Sunscreen. I tried the previous one, and my previous opinion was positive. Did my opinion on the new version change? At first, Axis-y Complete No-Stress Physical Sunscreen was great, it might leave some delicate white cast on darker skin tones, but on my skin, it works perfectly. But then I changed my moisturizer short after sunscreen, and I started to have problems with flaking. I've changed foundation, then another foundation, and after a few changed I figured out that the moisturizer I'm using is not okay. I needed a few days to balance my skin and test Axis-y Complete No-Stress Physical Sunscreen once again. What I can tell you is: that I don't see a big change between Axis-y Complete No-Stress Physical Sunscreen's new formula and the old formula. The old formula was different if it comes to ingredients, but the lightweight texture feels the same - it doesn't leave a major white cast (I would even say it leaves no white cast, but I'm very pale), it stays on my skin, and it's a physical sunscreen which lots of people with sensitive skin will enjoy just like I did.

There are some subtle changes in the ingredients. I didn't have a bad experience with the previous version of Axis-y Complete No-Stress Physical Sunscreen, but some people had issues with texture. The upgraded version is a product that many people like more than the previous one even if the first version of Axis-y Complete No-Stress Physical Sunscreen had many fans including me.
