I'm From Fig Scrub Mask - Texture & Scent

The texture is like a sugar scrub - delicate and gentle texture. The scent is fresh and reminds me a bit of fig, but not fully. It's a very typical, specific scent.

I'm From Fig Scrub Mask - Ingredients

Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Sucrose, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Stearalkonium Hectorite, C13-15 Alkane, Ficus Carica (Fig) Fruit Powder, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Seed Meal, Fragrance(Parfum), Juglans Regia (Walnut) Shell Powder, Caprylyl Glycol, Caramel

Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride is a combination of coconut oil and glycerin. It's a special emollient, quite common in skincare. It leaves a protective film on the surface of the epidermis to save your cutis from dehydration. Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride has a significant role in skin care products - it makes the application process effortless. Some people might experience pore-clogging after using Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, but pore-clogging and skin reactions to ingredients are individual. What works for you might not work for someone else. Sucrose is nothing else than sugar and what do sugars do in cosmetics? They moisturize!

PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate is a synthetic surfactant. It works as an emollient for sensitive skin. C13-15 Alkane is a delicate emollient obtained from sugarcane. Ficus Carica (Fig) Fruit Powder is rich in enzymes, it helps remove dead skin cells. Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax is a shiny wax popular in lip products, a substitute for beeswax. An oily emollient and emulsifier.

How do I'm From Fig Scrub Mask work?

I have to admit I'm From Fig Scrub Mask was on my wishlist for so long. I'm not a fan of scrubs - I'm a team chemical peel, but sometimes scrub masks are fine. I tried one from Klairs I loved it so why shouldn't I enjoy I'm From Fig Scrub Mask? Let's start with information from the brand. I'm From Fig Scrub Mask contains 1.2% fig powder. It's not a lot, but if we add Walnuts and Sweet Almond then the exfoliating gets harder. It takes 12 hours to dry the fig and grind it. I'm From mixed fig and brown sugar to get the most from figs - the enzyme obtained from figs help with the exfoliation of dead skin cells.

According to I'm From, we can use the I'm From Fig Scrub Mask as a facial mask, facial scrub, body scrub or as a mixed treatment - layer fig mask and then honey mask on top to remove impurities. Figs in I'm from mask come from Yeongam. From what I read, Yeongam is known for its figs since 70% of figs in Korea come from this county.

I'm From Fig Scrub Mask

Let's be honest, scrub masks are not my first choice. Even if texture matters a lot to me, I would prefer to use masks that can calm my skin, and help with acne but not exfoliate. Still, I enjoy eating figs and figs in skincare also seem to me like a good concept. That's why I've decided to give I'm From Fig Scrub Mask a try. My review is going to be super quick, because yes I do like this formula, the texture is nice, but I believe I got way too much exfoliation in my life already. Over-exfoliation is a thing, but some people prefer physical scrubs over chemical scrubs. There are also seasons in which I prefer masks like the I'm From Fig Scrub Mask over chemical scrubs. I'm From Fig Scrub Mask is a great product, but keep in mind that if you use I'm From Fig Scrub Mask you might give up your AHA/BHA toners.

I'm From Fig Scrub Mask

Overall, I'm From Fig Scrub Mask is a product which at least for me is neutral - it's nice but it's hard for me to tell if you need it in your routine or not.
