What's Hanbang?

Before we start, we need to understand what Hanbang stands for. Hanbang is a term for Traditional Korean Medicine. You can be a bit shocked since some ingredients used in Traditional Korean Medicine are similar to Traditional Chinese Medicine but that shouldn't surprise you since there are some herbs which you can find all around the world used to cure the illness. But Hanbang is not only about skincare but health in general. It's about using natural ingredients to help your body. Nowadays if it comes to Hanbang skincare, it's usually about mixing tradition with technology but still, it's all about antioxidants and the power of natural ingredients. Lots of luxurious brands are based on traditional herbal medicine. You have to believe that traditional medicine has a strong meaning in the culture - just look at universities in Korea, and you can find lots of programs related to traditional medicine.

Beauty of Joseon

Beauty Of Joseon is a Korean skincare brand with a long tradition in Hanbang skincare.

Beauty Of Joseon Glow Deep Serum: Rice + Alpha Arbutin

Beauty Of Joseon Glow Deep Serum: Rice + Alpha Arbutin

The first serum which I want to introduce to you is Beauty Of Joseon Glow Deep Serum: Rice + Alpha Arbutin. It's the youngest serum from the entire collection, but also the most powerful one since it contains Alpha Arbutin - a tyrosinase inhibitor. Beauty Of Joseon Glow Deep Serum: Rice + Alpha Arbutin is ideal for mature and dry skin types or skin with pigmentation problems. The main ingredients in this serum are 68,6% of Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Water and 2% of Alpha Arbutin.

Beauty Of Joseon Glow Deep Serum: Rice + Alpha Arbutin - Packaging

I love how simple and minimalistic the Beauty Of Joseon packaging design is. Beauty Of Joseon Glow Deep Serum: Rice + Alpha Arbutin comes in a tiny plastic bottle with this texture paper packaging that looks like it's made out of recycled paper.

Beauty Of Joseon Glow Deep Serum: Rice + Alpha Arbutin - Scent & Texture

I don't feel any scent and the texture is lightweight.

Beauty Of Joseon Glow Deep Serum: Rice + Alpha Arbutin - Ingredients

Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Water (68.6 %) is an antioxidant with antimicrobial properties. It's a source of amino acids. Aqua hides in cosmetic products under names such as Water or Eau. It's a solvent, but it's not your regular drinking water. Water in skin care needs to fit some standards. It should be clean and free from minerals, microorganisms or other substances. Usually, water makes up the majority of the content of the product. Glycerin or Glycerol is a humectant. Its origin can be natural or synthetic - depending on the product. It protects TEWL (transepidermal water loss) and naturally occurs in the skin. It's one of the NMFs - natural moisturizing factors. It's practical in hair care. Glycerin won't clog your skin or irritate it just the opposite - it protects your skin from irritation. Butylene Glycol is a common ingredient in products. It's not only a solvent. We use butylene glycol because it helps with the penetration of active ingredients, protects products from drying and moisturizes skin and hair. This ingredient can prevent hair loss and make your hair stronger. 1,2-Hexanediol is a synthetic solvent and preservative - it protects products from microorganisms by boosting other preservatives. At the same time, it can moisturize the skin, and it has no unpleasant effects on your epidermis. Dipropylene Glycol is a solvent with moisturizing properties. Alpha-Arbutin (2 %) is a brightening antioxidant that inhibits tyrosinase. It makes it an ideal ingredient to fight pigmentation. Niacinamide is a form of vitamin B3 - a vitamin soluble in water. It helps with problems like wrinkles, acne, skin texture, and enlarged pores and promotes collagen synthesis. Niacinamide makes the skin barrier stronger. It might be handy in cellulite treatments. Do you want to fight pigmentation or uneven skin? Try to mix niacinamide with Kojic Acid, Arbutin, Vitamin C, Tranexamic Acid or Retinol. Methyl Gluceth-20 is a delicate humectant. It is derived from corn. Panthenol is a humectant. It prevents skin from TEWL (Transepidermal Water Loss). Panthenol is also known as vitamin B5, and it helps with inflammation. Panthenol can soothe the skin irritated by preservatives, scent ingredients, and chemical sunscreens - it might have a meaning for lipids in our skin and skin barrier. It speeds up the healing process. It's good to use it after sunbathing. In hair care, Panthenol has moisturizing properties. If you have problems detangling your hair or hair growth go for Panthenol. It is good to mix it with niacinamide and zinc oxide. You can see it in products for atopic dermatitis or psoriasis.

Polyglycerin-3 is a humectant since this ingredient is made out of glycerin molecules. It helps promote active ingredients deeper. Trehalose is a disaccharide. We all know that sugar is awesome for the skin. What does it do? Trehalose similar to other sugars has water-binding properties. Trehalose kinda acts like NMF (Natural Moisturizing Factor). Glyceryl Glucoside is a humectant. Hydrolyzed Jojoba Esters is an emulsifier obtained from jojoba. Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer is a polymer that works as an emulsifier and thickener. Ethylhexylglycerin is a preservative with subtle moisturizing and antimicrobial properties. Hydroxyethylcellulose is a thickener and it creates a protective film on the skin. Xanthan Gum is a polysaccharide that works as a thickener. Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer is a synthetic polymer and quite a large molecule. It works as a thickener and emulsion stabiliser. Arginine is an amino acid. It helps with protein biosynthesis in adults. According to research from 1964, a lack of arginine might raise your chance to get an HSV infection. Disodium EDTA neutralizes metal ions in the formula to keep products fresh. Coptis Japonica (Japanese Goldthread) Root Extract is an anti-inflammatory ingredient with antioxidant and antimicrobial properties. It's a source of berberine, coptisine and palmatine. Sorbitan Isostearate is an emulsifier. Glucose is a monosaccharide - a simple sugar, and we all know that sugars in skincare are nothing else than humectants. Coix Lacryma-Jobi Ma-yuen Seed Extract brightens the skin. It's a source of vitamin B3 and amino acids. It also adds moisture to the skin. The other name of this Coix Lacryma-Jobi Ma-yuen is job's tears. Glycine Soja (Soybean) Seed Extract is an antioxidant. It's a source of phytoestrogen, daidzein, geinstein, lecitin and isoflavone. Soybean extract can reduce the transfer of melanin, but at the same time, this ingredient shouldn't be used in skin pigmentation problems like melasma since melasma is associated with hormones. It has anti-inflammatory properties, it can boost collagen stimulation. If you deal with visible veins on the skin - soybean extract can be helpful. Hordeum Distichon (Barley) Extract is a nourishing humectant with antioxidant & anti-aging properties. It makes the skin stronger. Oryza Sativa (Rice) Extract is a source of proteins, vitamins like vitamin E and minerals like potassium. It's a rich antioxidant with antiseptic and anti-aging properties. Rice Extract has positive effects on hair. Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Extract regenerates the skin and soothes it. Sesame Seed Extract can strengthen the skin barrier. Triticum Vulgare (Wheat) Seed Extract is an ingredient I'm not a fan of since if you're allergic to gluten, you might want to stay away from it. If you have oily skin, wheat also isn't always the best thing for your skin type, but wheat extract if it comes to hair can be nourishing. Vigna Radiata Seed Extract has anti-inflammatory properties. Zea Mays (Corn) Kernel Extract is a source of many important vitamins and minerals including vitamin A, beta-carotene and zinc. It's a humectant with anti-septic properties. Sensitive skin should enjoy it.

How does Beauty Of Joseon Glow Deep Serum: Rice + Alpha Arbutin work?

Sadly, I can't share with you my opinion on Beauty Of Joseon Glow Deep Serum: Rice + Alpha Arbutin because I'm allergic to two ingredients in it, and lately, I'm trying to limit my contact with allergens a lot - even if not every time I get a skin reaction to wheat and barley (it's worse with food), still in 2023 I want to be more healthy since January didn't start the best - I almost started and ended this month in hospital. If you're not allergic - the main ingredients are amazing for pigmentation.

Beauty Of Joseon Calming Serum: Green Tea + Panthenol

Beauty Of Joseon Calming Serum: Green Tea + Panthenol

I already made a review of this serum on Kherblog, but the old version is without Mugwort. Beauty Of Joseon Calming Serum: Green Tea + Panthenol contains 50% of Green Tea Leaf Water, 30% Mugwort and 5% Panthenol.

Beauty Of Joseon Calming Serum: Green Tea + Panthenol - Packaging

I love how simple and minimalistic the Beauty Of Joseon packaging design is. Beauty Of Joseon Calming Serum: Green Tea + Panthenol comes in a tiny plastic bottle with this texture paper packaging that looks like it's made out of recycled paper.

Beauty Of Joseon Calming Serum: Green Tea + Panthenol - Scent & Texture

It doesn't have a scent at all, but the texture is very lightweight. It's not a heavy serum.

Beauty Of Joseon Calming Serum: Green Tea + Panthenol

Camellia Sinensis Leaf Water (50.9%), Artemisia Capillaris Extract, Panthenol, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Aqua, 1,2-Hexanediol, Methylpropanediol, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Tromethamine, Coptis Japonica Root Extract, Ethylhexylglycerin, Betaine, Allantoin, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Glyceryl Acrylate/Acrylic Acid Copolymer, Polyquaternium-51, Malt Extract, Punica Granatum Extract, Clitoria Ternatea Flower Extract, Garcinia Mangostana Peel Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate

Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Water (50.9%) is a green tea hydrosol. It refreshes, soothes and hydrates the skin. Artemisia Capillaris Extract is an ingredient that stays in skincare Kbeauty trends for a while now. Mugwort comes in many different forms. Artemisia Capillaris or Chinese Mugwort has other names like Yin Chen Hao, and it's not only a herb from traditional medicine. In some countries, you can find it in cuisine. It's an antioxidant with anti-inflammatory properties. Aqua hides in cosmetic products under names such as Water or Eau. It's a solvent, but it's not your regular drinking water. Water in skin care needs to fit some standards. It should be clean and free from minerals, microorganisms or other substances. Usually, water makes up the majority of the content of the product. 1,2-Hexanediol is a synthetic solvent and preservative - it protects products from microorganisms by boosting other preservatives. At the same time, it can moisturize the skin, and it has no unpleasant effects on your epidermis. Methylpropanediol is a solvent with antimicrobial properties.

Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer is a synthetic polymer and quite a large molecule. It works as a thickener and emulsion stabiliser. Tromethamine is a synthetic pH adjuster. Coptis Japonica (Japanese Goldthread) Root Extract is an anti-inflammatory ingredient with antioxidant and antimicrobial properties. It's a source of berberine, coptisine and palmatine. Ethylhexylglycerin is a preservative with subtle moisturizing and antimicrobial properties. Betaine is an amino acid. In skincare products, we use it for its moisturizing properties. Betaine keeps the water balance of the skin. It makes wrinkles appear less visible, and it soothes irritated skin. In hair care, betaine doesn't only moisturize the hair. It makes hair soft and shiny. Betaine in cosmetics usually comes from sweet beetroots. It naturally occurs in the skin and hair. Allantoin is an ingredient that naturally occurs in our bodies, but brands usually go for the synthetic form of this substance. It comes from comfrey or soybean roots. It's a humectant with soothing and wound-healing properties. Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate is a soothing and antibacterial ingredient. For many people, it's the only acceptable form of Licorice. This ingredient has many positive meanings for the skin - it has moisturizing properties, and it can even lighten the dark spot. Even sensitive skin should enjoy it. Glyceryl Acrylate/Acrylic Acid Copolymer is a humectant. Polyquaternium-51 is a synthetic humectant. Malt Extract is a dark syrup derived from barley, it's a source of many important elements for the skin. Punica Granatum (Pomegranate) Extract is an antioxidant and a source of ellagic acid. It has soothing properties and it helps with wrinkles. Clitoria Ternatea (Butterfly Pea) Flower Extract is an antioxidant with brightening properties. It's a source of quercetin - a flavonoid. It's a form of hyaluronic acid and naturally occurs in the skin. Sodium Hyaluronate has strong water-binding properties. Sodium hyaluronate combined with elastin and collagen is like a scaffolding for the skin. It has hydrating properties and leaves a hydrating film on the skin, but sodium hyaluronate prevents skincare products from drying.

How does Beauty Of Joseon Calming Serum: Green Tea + Panthenol work?

It's not common to see a renewed version of a product and enjoy it. The old version had way more Green Tea and no Mugwort. Honestly, I like the new version way better. I'm a huge fan of the Beauty Of Joseon aesthetic, it fits the Hanbang spirit. As long as I feel like Green Tea is a more universal herb than TKM herb, I think adding Mugwort was a clever move.  You can read the full review of Beauty Of Joseon Calming Serum: Green Tea + Panthenol on Kherblog.

Beauty Of Joseon Glow Serum: Propolis + Niacinamide

Beauty Of Joseon Glow Serum: Propolis + Niacinamide is not a new serum, but I believe it got renewed too. Currently, you can get Beauty Of Joseon Glow Serum: Propolis + Niacinamide with 60% of Propolis Extract, 2% Niacinamide and 0,5% BHA.

Beauty Of Joseon Glow Serum: Propolis + Niacinamide - Packaging

Beauty Of Joseon Glow Serum: Propolis + Niacinamide - Scent & Texture

Similar to other serums, Beauty Of Joseon Glow Serum: Propolis + Niacinamide doesn't have any scent and the texture is lightweight.

Beauty Of Joseon Glow Serum: Propolis + Niacinamide - Ingredients

Propolis Extract, Dipropylene Glycol, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Aqua, Niacinamide, 1,2-Hexanediol, Melia Azadirachta Flower Extract, Melia Azadirachta Leaf Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Curcuma Longa (Turmeric) Root Extract, Ocimum Sanctum Leaf Extract, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Extract, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Corallina Officinalis Extract, Lotus Corniculatus Seed Extract, Calophyllum Inophyllum Seed Oil, Betaine Salicylate, Sodium Polyacryloyldimethyl Taurate, Tromethamine, Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Dextrin, Pentylene Glycol, Octanediol, Tocopherol, Xanthan Gum, Carbomer

Propolis Extract is sometimes called bee glue since it's a combination of resins used to create a hive. People use Propolis for thousands of years, it has antibacterial, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. It's a soothing ingredient as well. Propolis extract is a source of Vitamins and minerals. You can use propolis to treat acne and inflammation. If you're allergic to bees then I recommend you avoid this ingredient but if bees are not a problem for you - it's an ingredient which can change your skincare game. Dipropylene Glycol is a solvent with moisturizing properties. Aqua hides in cosmetic products under names such as Water or Eau. It's a solvent, but it's not your regular drinking water. Water in skin care needs to fit some standards. It should be clean and free from minerals, microorganisms or other substances. Usually, water makes up the majority of the content of the product. 1,2-Hexanediol is a synthetic solvent and preservative - it protects products from microorganisms by boosting other preservatives. At the same time, it can moisturize the skin, and it has no unpleasant effects on your epidermis. You probably know Melia Azadirachta Leaf Extract as Neem. It's a plant typical for India, Sri Lanka or Pakistan. Neem comes from Ayurveda, and it's told to have antiseptic, antibacterial and antifungal properties. Sodium Hyaluronate or sodium salt of hyaluronic acid. Turmeric in products for acne skin is not a surprise for me, but what does Curcuma Longa (Turmeric) Root Extract do in other products? Turmeric has wide use in traditional medicine - not only Ayurveda but Chinese Traditional Medicine. It's an antioxidant with anti-inflammatory properties, that's why it works so well on acne. It might help with pigmentation, but if you have post-acne inflammation, then using soothing ingredients and substances that speed up wound healing helps with the redness left after acne.

Ocimum Sanctum Leaf Extract aka Holy Basil is a source of eugenol, linalool, rosmarinic acid, oleanolic acid, ursolic acid, rosmarinic acid and more. It's another ingredient used in traditional medicine. In skincare products, Holy Basil has anti-inflammatory effects. Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Extract is a source of polyphenols and caffeine. It's an antioxidant that improves blood circulation. Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Extract is an extract form of tea tree. You probably know Tea Tree as an essential oil ingredient. EOs are controversial because they are not as safe as people think. Essential oils are similar to Alcohol, some are positive and some are negative because they can cause allergic reactions and be phototoxic or photosensitive. Tea Tree Oil is a good guy, it's super helpful in curing acne. It shouldn't be used straight on your skin, it needs to be diluted. It has antibacterial and antiseptic properties just like an extract. Centella Asiatica Extract is probably the most popular extract in skincare. It comes under a few names - Asiatic pennywort, tiger grass or Gotu kola. Centella Asiatica's roots are in Ayurveda. This extract is successful because it's a source of triterpene saponins - madecassoside and asiaticoside. Centella Asiatica Extract has anti-inflammatory properties. It speeds up the wound-healing process. You can use it to treat acne since it has soothing and antibacterial properties. It boosts fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin or even helps with hyaluronic acid synthesis. Centella is recommended for rosacea and cellulitis since it helps with blood microcirculation. In hair care, Centella can help with hair growth. Algae in beauty exist in many different forms. Corallina Officinalis Extract is an antioxidant and colourant. Lotus Corniculatus Seed Extract is a soothing antioxidant. Calophyllum Inophyllum Seed Oil is an oil rich in oleic and linoleic acid. This emollient is ideal for acne-prone skin due to its antibacterial properties. It speeds up the healing process. Betaine Salicylate is a delicate exfoliant, great for acne-prone skin. If the name reminds you of Salicylic Acid then you're right - it's a mix of Betaine and Salicylic Acid. Sodium Polyacryloyldimethyl Taurate is a polymer and emulsifier. Tromethamine is a synthetic pH adjuster. Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate is an emulsifier. Caprylyl Glycol is an oily emollient and humectant. It leaves a moisturizing film on the surface of the skin. Ethylhexylglycerin is a preservative with subtle moisturizing and antimicrobial properties. Dextrin is an emulsifier with stabilizing properties. Pentylene Glycol is mostly a solvent and stabilizer, but it has great moisturizing properties. Tocopherol is an antioxidant known as Vitamin E. It's an oil-soluble vitamin that fights free radicals and makes UVB protection and natural lipid barrier stronger. It's good to mix it with vitamin C for better effects. Oily skin might react with pore-clogging to vitamin E. It is not true that vitamin E works as a preservative or helps with scars. Xanthan Gum is a polysaccharide that works as a thickener. Carbomer is a synthetic thickener.

How does Beauty Of Joseon Glow Serum: Propolis + Niacinamide work?

In the case of Beauty Of Joseon Glow Serum: Propolis + Niacinamide, I have no idea if the brand has changed anything, but it's a decent serum. I made a post about propolis serums a few years ago and I feel like I should write an update. Nowadays this serum, By Wishtrend & iUnik would be the one I recommend due to changes in many of my favourite serums.

Beauty Of Joseon Revive Serum: Ginseng + Snail Mucin

Beauty Of Joseon Revive Serum: Ginseng + Snail Mucin

Beauty Of Joseon Revive Serum: Ginseng + Snail Mucin - Texture & Scent

No scent, but a lightweight, hydrating texture - ideal for spring & summer. It's a texture that I didn't suspect to meet in Beauty Of Joseon Repairing Serum: Ginseng + Snail Mucin formula since snail mucin can be a bit gooey.

Beauty Of Joseon Revive Serum: Ginseng + Snail Mucin - Ingredients

Panax Ginseng Root Water, Aqua, Butylene Glycol, Snail Secretion Filtrate, Dipropylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Glycerin, Niacinamide, Propanediol, Trehalose, Carbomer, Tromethamine, Xanthan Gum, Centella Asiatica Extract, Ganoderma Lucidum (Mushroom) Extract, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Malt Extract, Sodium Polyacrylate, Adenosine, Glyceryl Acrylate/Acrylic Acid Copolymer, Disodium EDTA, Phellinus Linteus Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Forsythia Suspensa Fruit Extract, Lonicera Japonica (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate

Panax Ginseng Root Water is a water form of the so-called "root of immortality". Ginseng is a source of saponins, and using root water as a base for the product was a clever move. Aqua hides in cosmetic products under names such as Water or Eau. It's a solvent, but it's not your regular drinking water. Water in skin care needs to fit some standards. It should be clean and free from minerals, microorganisms or other substances. Usually, water makes up the majority of the content of the product. Butylene Glycol is a common ingredient in products. It's not only a solvent. We use butylene glycol because it helps with the penetration of active ingredients, protects products from drying and moisturizes skin and hair. This ingredient can prevent hair loss and make your hair stronger. Snail Secretion Filtrate is nothing else than snail mucin. Yes, SNAIL MUCIN! It might sound disgusting, but you might change your opinion once you hear about its magic properties. Snail mucin is a popular ingredient in K-beauty, but many brands all around the world are using this ingredient lately since it can repair your skin - it helps with acne, dryness and dehydration. This ingredient is not the best choice if you search for cruelty-free products, although lots of brands are telling that snails are not hurt in the process of collecting the mucin. Dipropylene Glycol is a solvent with moisturizing properties. 1,2-Hexanediol is a synthetic solvent and preservative - it protects products from microorganisms by boosting other preservatives. At the same time, it can moisturize the skin, and it has no unpleasant effects on your epidermis. Glycerin or Glycerol is a humectant. Its origin can be natural or synthetic - depending on the product. It protects TEWL (transepidermal water loss) and naturally occurs in the skin. It's one of the NMFs - natural moisturizing factors. Propanediol is also known as natural glycol - an alternative to propylene glycol. Propanediol is a solvent with additional moisturizing properties. It makes the product smooth to the touch. It can even improve the effectiveness of active ingredients. Trehalose is a disaccharide. We all know that sugar is awesome for the skin. What does it do? Trehalose similar to other sugars has water-binding properties. Trehalose kinda acts like NMF (Natural Moisturizing Factor). Carbomer is a synthetic thickener. Tromethamine is a synthetic pH adjuster. Xanthan Gum is a polysaccharide that works as a thickener. Centella Asiatica Extract is probably the most popular extract in skincare. It comes under a few names - Asiatic pennywort, tiger grass or Gotu kola. Centella Asiatica's roots are in Ayurveda. It boosts fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin or even helps with hyaluronic acid synthesis. Centella is recommended for rosacea and cellulitis since it helps with blood microcirculation. In hair care, Centella can help with hair growth.

Ganoderma Lucidum (Mushroom) Extract is an antioxidant with anti-inflammatory properties. You might know this extract as Reishi Extract. It's a source of vitamins and minerals such as copper. It's an adaptogen and a source of ganodermanondiol - a tyrosinase inhibitor which makes it ideal to fight pigmentation and aging. Panax Ginseng Root Extract is a source of ginsenosides, many vitamins and minerals. Ginseng is a hanbang ingredient, a traditional medicine ingredient. It improves blood circulation. Ginseng Root Extract has antioxidant properties, it also works as an emollient. If you deal with cellulite you might want to add products with this extract to your routine. Malt Extract is a dark syrup derived from barley, it's a source of many important elements for the skin. Sodium Polyacrylate is an absorbent and thickener. It does complete work with water formulas. Adenosine naturally occurs in the skin. One of the adenosine's roles in our bodies is being a neurotransmitter. In skin care, we use adenosine for its anti-wrinkle properties. Adenosine is an anti-inflammatory ingredient. It can boost collagen production. At the same time, it speeds up the healing process. Adenosine can have positive effects on reducing redness. In hair care, adenosine can help with hair loss. Glyceryl Acrylate/Acrylic Acid Copolymer is a humectant. Disodium EDTA neutralizes metal ions in the formula to keep products fresh. Phellinus Linteus Extract or Meshima mushroom. It has different names in different languages for example in Korean it's sanghwang. This mushroom is used in traditional medicine as a tea. The power of this ingredient is in polysaccharides - it has anti-inflammatory properties. Sodium Hyaluronate or sodium salt of hyaluronic acid. Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid is a low-weight humectant. We have to remember that not every molecule can get through the skin surface and lower molecule HA can penetrate the skin deeper and bring moisture inside the skin. It's a natural polymer that binds water in the skin to prevent TEWL (transepidermal water loss). Forsythia Suspensa Fruit Extract is an antioxidant with antibacterial properties. It's a source of forsythoside and pinoresinol. It fights oxidative stress and calms inflammation. Lonicera Japonica (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract is a source of flavonoids and saponins.
