The majority of eye creams people are talking about are hyper-focused on wrinkles and mature customers, but there are eye creams which a younger audience might find more fitting for their needs. Meet AHC Pro Shot Hyaluro-Deep Volume 5 Capsule-Infused Eye Cream For Face, a hydrating eye cream and a cousin of the best-selling eye cream in Korea.
Do you need an eye cream?
Some people believe that a special eye cream is not necessary for the eye area. The skin around the eyes is thinner and more sensitive. There are some ingredients you should avoid using near your eyes, such as AHA. You must be very careful with AHA in the eye area. I put AHA only under my eyelid, but I try to be extra careful. Eyes also have different problems like puffiness, wrinkles, and dark circles - it doesn't mean that normal cream won't do anything about it, but sometimes it's better to choose a targeted product.
Meet the brand: AHC
The name AHC stands for Aesthetic Hydration Cosmetics. According to AHC's website, the company started in 1999. The name of the brand is not random. AHC produces skincare products similar to those used by aestheticians. It means that AHC produces professional products for personal use; this is nothing new, as many aesthetic brands used in spas also offer lines for personal use. If I have to compare the eye creams I use at home vs. those I use during my internship as an esthetician, I would say AHC is way better than pro eye creams. Eye Cream For Face is AHC's most popular product. One of the AHC ambassadors was Anne Hathaway. During the last few years, actresses Kim Hye Soo and Jo Bo Ah in AHC commercials, as well as actress Oh Yeon-Seo. Lately, Krystal Jung, who you might recognize from the girl group f(x), became AHC's ambassador. The last time I checked, AHC sold 71 million eye creams, but according to amazing Odile Monod and her video review of this eye cream, AHC sold over 120 million eye creams. Right now, thanks to Unilever, AHC is available globally. The acquisition of Carver Korea and AHC took place a few years ago - in 2017. You have to remember that, even if Unilever is a big company available all over the world, AHC formulas in Korea and abroad are a bit different. I haven't tried non-Korean versions, but we will talk a bit about it later.
AHC is known for its eye cream line.
AHC Eye Cream For Face
The reason why this cream is called eye cream for the face is easy - AHC sells this cream as an eye cream, but they also recommend using their eye creams on areas where you can see wrinkles, like the mouth or forehead. Right now, AHC has released 10 versions of eye creams. Season 1 - Real Eye Cream For Face is a firming product with EGF. Premium Real Eye Cream For Face is a season 2 version, this one brightens the skin. Season 3 Private Real Eye Cream For Face nourishes the skin, and Season 4 THE Real Eye Cream For Face is even better when it comes to hydration. The Pure Real Eye Cream For Face, aka Season 5, which was my first AHC eye cream, is a version for sensitive skin. I tried a version with that cute floral packaging made in collaboration with Marymond - you can read the full review on Kherblog. I didn't try Season 6 Ultimate Real Eye Cream For Face, this season is easily absorbed by the skin. Season 7 Ageless Real Eye Cream For Face contains biomimetic collagen, and it gets easily absorbed because the size of the formula is 1/300 of the pore size. What makes Season 8 Time Rewind Real Eye Cream For Face interesting is the number of peptides that increase the elasticity of the skin. Season 8 review is available on Kherblog, as well as season 9 - Youth Lasting Real Eye Cream For Face, focused on 20s Biome AHC technology. Season 10 Ten Revolution Real Eye Cream for Face had ingredients that were 1/1000 the size of the pore size, but it was highly innovative since it contained HumaColl21®, a biomimetic vegan human collagen. Season 11 Premier Ampoule Eye Cream For Face had fewer peptides, but it contained T4 Collagen.
Season 12 Premier Eye Cream Core Lifting is more innovative than the previous season, thanks to EleVastin™ - a solution that protects skin from sagging caused by gravity. In 2025, AHC released new eye cream Season 13 Premier Ampoule Eye Cream For Face Line Tightening. This version is enriched with Bonding Collagen T7. So far, I love it and the review is coming soon.
Pro Shot line
In 2024, AHC released a new series of products called Pro Shot. The idea behind this line is simple: professional results, derm science, clinically-proven solutions and timeless aesthetics. There are three different lines. Colla-Juvenation Lift 4 is focused on skin elasticity and wrinkles. Hyaluro-Deep Volume 5 is a line that improves hydration and tightness of the skin. Gluta-Ctivation Bright 3 is focused on dark spots and uneven skin tone.
AHC Pro Shot Hyaluro-Deep Volume 5 Intra-Serum - Packaging
It's hard to talk about packaging in this situation since I tested 10 ml of AHC Pro Shot Hyaluro-Deep Volume 5 Intra-Serum. It came with the product, but I've decided to share with you my first thoughts since someone might find it helpful. If you get a set with eye cream, this mini version of serum is a bit hard to get from the bottle.
AHC Pro Shot Hyaluro-Deep Volume 5 Intra-Serum - Texture & Scent
Even if AHC Pro Shot Hyaluro-Deep Volume 5 Intra-Serum has scent in it, it's a delicate scent that doesn't remind me of anything. The texture is super liquid, like a typical Hyaluronic Acid serum.

Water hides in cosmetic products under names such as Aqua or Eau. It's a solvent, but it's not your regular drinking water. Water in skin care needs to fit some standards. It should be clean and free from minerals, microorganisms or other substances. Usually, water makes up the majority of the content of the product. Butylene Glycol is a common ingredient in products. It's not only a solvent. We use butylene glycol because it helps penetrate active ingredients, protects products from drying, and moisturizes skin and hair. This ingredient can prevent hair loss and make your hair stronger. Methyl Gluceth-10 is an emollient. Sorbitol is a sugar, and what does sugar do in products? It works as a humectant, but it also works as a thickener and stabilizer.
Glycerin or Glycerol is a humectant. Depending on the product, its origin can be natural or synthetic. It protects TEWL (transepidermal water loss), which naturally occurs in the skin. It's one of the NMFs and a natural moisturizing factor. It's practical in hair care. Glycerin won't clog your skin or irritate it—just the opposite—it protects your skin from irritation. Dipropylene Glycol is a solvent with moisturizing properties. Propanediol, also known as natural glycol, is an alternative to propylene glycol. It is a solvent with additional moisturizing properties, making the product smooth to the touch. It can even improve the effectiveness of active ingredients. Pentylene Glycol is mostly a solvent and stabilizer, but it has great moisturizing properties.
1,2-Hexanediol is a synthetic solvent and preservative. It protects products from microorganisms by boosting other preservatives. At the same time, it can moisturize the skin and has no unpleasant effects on the epidermis. Panthenol is a humectant. It prevents skin from TEWL (Transepidermal Water Loss). Panthenol is also known as vitamin B5, and it helps with inflammation. Panthenol can soothe the skin irritated by preservatives, scent ingredients, and chemical sunscreens - it might have a meaning for lipids in our skin and skin barrier. It speeds up the healing process. It's good to use it after sunbathing. In hair care, Panthenol has moisturizing properties. If you have problems detangling your hair or hair growth, go for Panthenol. It is good to mix it with niacinamide and zinc oxide. You can see it in products for atopic dermatitis or psoriasis.
Betaine is an amino acid. We use it in skincare products for its moisturizing properties. Betaine keeps the water balance of the skin. It makes wrinkles appear less visible, and it soothes irritated skin. In hair care, betaine not only moisturize the hair. It makes hair soft and shiny. Betaine in cosmetics usually comes from sweet beetroots. It naturally occurs in the skin and hair. Carbomer is a synthetic thickener. Chondrus Crispus Extract or Carrageenan Extract is a polysaccharide derived from Chondrus Crispus, red algae. The other name of this algae is Irish moss. It's a moisturizing ingredient that leaves a film on the surface of the skin. It's a source of beta-carotene, zeaxanthin and lutein. It also works as a thickener.
C12-14 Alketh-12 is an emulsifier and surfactant. Saccharum Officinarum (Sugarcane) Extract or Sugar Cane Extract is a moisturizing ingredient. It's a source of calcium, iron and vitamins. It's also a source of AHA acids. It's recommended for acne-prone skin. Tromethamine is a synthetic pH adjuster. Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid is a low-weight humectant. We have to remember that not every molecule can get through the skin surface and lower molecule weight HA can penetrate the skin deeper and bring moisture inside the skin. It's a natural polymer that binds water in the skin to prevent TEWL (transepidermal water loss). Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer is a polymer with thickening properties. Ethylhexylglycerin is a preservative with subtle moisturizing and antimicrobial properties.
Fragrance (Parfum) is a scent composition. It can cause allergic reactions. Xanthan Gum is a polysaccharide that works as a thickener. Adenosine naturally occurs in the skin. One of the roles of adenosine in our bodies is that of a neurotransmitter. In skin care, we use adenosine for its anti-wrinkle properties. Adenosine is an anti-inflammatory ingredient. It can boost collagen production. At the same time, it speeds up the healing process. Adenosine can have positive effects on reducing redness. In hair care, adenosine can help with hair loss. Cellulose is a natural polymer that works as a thickener and sebum absorbent. Sodium Phytate is a chelating agent derived from corn. It neutralizes the ions in the products to make sure your product stays fresh a bit longer.
Spirodela Polyrhiza Extract or Duckweed Extract is rich in apigenin. It has anti-inflammatory properties. Sodium Hyaluronate or sodium salt of hyaluronic acid. It's a form of hyaluronic acid and naturally occurs in the skin. Sodium Hyaluronate has strong water-binding properties. Sodium hyaluronate combined with elastin and collagen, is like a scaffolding for the skin. It has hydrating properties and leaves a hydrating film on the skin, but sodium hyaluronate prevents skincare products from drying. Polyglutamic Acid is a polymer with high moisturizing properties. Since it's a big molecule that naturally occurs in fermented soy, it leaves a film on the skin.
Beta-glucan is a polysaccharide. It can come from yeast, seaweed or fungi. It's one of the best humectants with soothing properties. It might help reduce wrinkle visibility on the epidermis. Some sources say it might be an antioxidant. It's good to mix it with niacinamide and retinoids or use it after skincare treatments to heal the skin quickly. Beta-glucan leaves a film on the skin to prevent TEWL and lock the moisture inside the skin. Hydroxypropyltrimonium Hyaluronate is a big molecule related to hyaluronic acid. It leaves a moisturizing film on the surface of the skin. Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate is related to sodium hyaluronate. It boosts moisture in the skin and elasticity. It helps prevent skin from TEWL (transepidermal water loss).
Caffeine is an antioxidant that has a positive effect on your skin and body. It stimulates blood circulation, reducing redness, dark circles and puffy eyes. It's one of the first ingredients I would use to fight cellulite. In hair care, caffeine can boost hair growth, it's recommended for men who deal with androgenic alopecia. Escin or Aescin has some anti-inflammatory properties. Escin is derived from horse chestnut. It might have some antioxidant properties. Escin is great for spider veins, aka telangiectasias. It might help with some puffiness. Menthyl Lactate is an ingredient that gives a cooling sensation. It's also used for scent purposes. Tocopherol is an antioxidant known as Vitamin E. It's an oil-soluble vitamin that fights free radicals and makes UVB protection and natural lipid barrier stronger. It's good to mix it with vitamin C for better effects. Oily skin might react with pore-clogging to vitamin E. It is not true that vitamin E works as a preservative or helps with scars.
Sucrose Palmitate is a combination of palmitic acid and sucrose. It's an emollient, but it can also be used as an emulsifier or gentle surfactant. Glyceryl Ricinoleate is an emollient and emulsifier. Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil is a source of linoleic acid and vitamin E. Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil works as an emollient. Sometimes you can see it as a carrier oil for other substances. It has anti-inflammatory properties and makes the skin barrier stronger. This oil should work on all types of hair porosity. Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer is related to sodium hyaluronate. It's a good moisturizer. Hydrogenated Lecithin is a version of lecithin. It works as an emollient in the formulas.
Cholesterol is a lipid with a crucial role in our skin. This ingredient makes sure that our skin barrier is healthy. It can also work as a stabilizer. Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate is an emulsifier. Chitosan has moisturizing properties. It leaves a delicate film on the surface of the skin. Ceramides naturally occur in the skin - it's like cement in the skin. Ceramide NP (also known as Ceramide 3) strengthens the skin barrier to prevent dehydration.
How does AHC Pro Shot Hyaluro-Deep Volume 5 Intra-Serum work?
10ml of AHC Pro Shot Hyaluro-Deep Volume 5 Intra-Serum is a bit of a small amount to test this serum fully, but let me share with you some information about this product and my first experience.
First of all, it's a wrinkle improvement functional cosmetic. It means that AHC did lots of clinical tests to prove that this product works. If a Korean brand has such claims in promo material on their website, and other stores are also using the same material and same claims, it must be a legitimate thing. In South Korea, functional cosmetics are regulated by the MFDS (Ministry of Food and Drug Safety).
AHC Pro Shot Hyaluro-Deep Volume 5 Intra-Serum is supposed to plump and hydrate your skin. The key ingredients are provitamin B5 (panthenol), 5D HA Fill, which is a hyaluronic acid complex that's supposed to moisturize your skin 5 times better. This complex is made out of 5 different versions of Hyaluronic Acid, which means that each particle of HA has a different molecular weight. There's also the APIOSKIN® solution, which is also related to the skin's moisture level. Spirodela Polyrrhiza Extract is an ingredient hidden under this name. This solution is supposed to provide long-lasting hydration and make your skin look plump.
Does AHC Pro Shot Hyaluro-Deep Volume 5 Intra-Serum feel hydrating? It does. My skin is not a big fan of Hyaluronic Acid ampoules, but AHC created a product which I can see myself using, because during the summer time, it protected my skin from dehydration. I got combo skin, so it's hard to say how it works on dry skin, but for combo skin, if you search for a lightweight serum, this one is good.
AHC Pro Shot Hyaluro-Deep Volume 5 Capsule-Infused Eye Cream For Face - Packaging
I ordered AHC Pro Shot Hyaluro-Deep Volume 5 Capsule-Infused Eye Cream For Face in a set. The tube of AHC Pro Shot Hyaluro-Deep Volume 5 Capsule-Infused Eye Cream For Face is literally the same as in other AHC eye creams, but the Pro Shot line has a white aesthetic mixed with colour. The colour signifies the line. AHC Pro Shot Hyaluro-Deep Volume 5 Capsule-Infused Eye Cream For Face has a blue plastic part that connects the tube to the metal tip. This tip is useful. You can apply the product and massage your skin at the same time.

Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride is a combination of coconut oil and glycerin. It's a notable emollient that is quite common in skincare. It leaves a protective film on the surface of the epidermis to save your cutis from dehydration. Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride has a significant role in skin care products - it makes the application process effortless. Some people might experience pore-clogging after using Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, but pore-clogging and skin reactions to ingredients are individual. What works for you might not work for someone else.
Pentylene Glycol is mostly a solvent and stabilizer, but it has great moisturizing properties. Methylpropanediol is a solvent with antimicrobial properties. Panthenol is a humectant. At the same time, it can moisturize the skin and has no unpleasant effects on the epidermis. Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer is a synthetic polymer and quite a large molecule. It works as a thickener and emulsion stabiliser. Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer is a polymer with thickening properties. Olivem 1000 is a combination of Cetearyl Olivate and Sorbitan Olivate. It's a natural emulsifier, and beauty companies use it to create an oil-in-water emulsion. Worth mentioning, it's a biodegradable formula.
Hydrogenated Polydecene is an emollient that leaves a silky, delicate, non-occlusive film on the skin's surface. This ingredient is ideal for sensitive skin. Octyldodecanol is an emollient and fatty alcohol. It's also a solvent. Tromethamine is a synthetic pH adjuster. Hydrogenated Lecithin is a version of lecithin. It works as an emollient in the formulas. Hydrolyzed Collagen is a humectant with a smaller molecular weight than Collagen. It binds water to prevent TEWL (transepidermal water loss). It makes hair easier to detangle. Escin or Aescin has some anti-inflammatory properties. Escin is derived from horse chestnut. It might have some antioxidant properties. Escin is great for spider veins, aka telangiectasias. It might help with some puffiness.
Hydrogenated Rice Bran Oil is a rice bran oil treated with hydrogen. It's an emollient. Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid is a low-weight humectant. We have to remember that not every molecule can get through the skin surface, and lower molecular weight HA can penetrate the skin deeper and bring moisture inside the skin. How does AHC Pro Shot Hyaluro-Deep Volume 5 Capsule-Infused Eye Cream For Face work?
Let's start with the basics. Similar to serum, AHC Pro Shot Hyaluro-Deep Volume 5 Capsule-Infused Eye Cream For Face is a product focused on hydration and plumpness of the skin. It's also a functional cosmetic product focused on wrinkle improvement. One of the most significant features of this product is the metal applicator. I have to admit, I love AHC because they don't give the roller tip, they just give us a plain metal tip that my skin accepts more than some rollers. Dear brands, I understand that some customers enjoy rollers, but can you give them separately? If you want to create something cool - learn from AHC. This tip might be simple, but since it has a metal tip, it works since it can be easily disinfected. My skin after rollers usually has to deal with irritation or milia.
Provitamin B5 and 5D HA Fill are still the main solutions used in this eye cream, but there's one difference. The third solution used in AHC Pro Shot Hyaluro-Deep Volume 5 Capsule-Infused Eye Cream For Face is Hyaluronic acid capsule mixed with caffeine complex to reduce puffiness around the eye area and to add moisture. The Caffeine complex contains not only Caffeine, but also Methyl Lactate and Essin. That's why this formula might feel a bit cooling.
AHC loves to use smaller particles in their eye creams, and the Pro Shot line is not an exception. AHC Pro Shot Hyaluro-Deep Volume 5 Capsule-Infused Eye Cream For Face has particles that are 1/1430 the size of a pore, and that's all possible thanks to patented multi-layer shot liposome technology.
This product can be used on your entire face, but I only tested it on the eye area, and I've waited almost a year to finally finish writing this review, since I used this eye cream last year before my LASIK surgery. The reason was simple, one of the previous AHC eye cream seasons (it was AHC Youth Lasting Real Eye Cream For Face) had retinol, and last year, I had to take a break from retinol to make sure that there wouldn't be any complications. So I thought that AHC Pro Shot Hyaluro-Deep Volume 5 Capsule-Infused Eye Cream For Face is going to be a safer option than the regular Eye Cream For Face line.

I usually tell how many great solutions AHC eye creams contain, but I feel like the majority of products from this line are for clients at least 25+. AHC Pro Shot Hyaluro-Deep Volume 5 Capsule-Infused Eye Cream For Face might be a version that improves wrinkles, but it's also super hydrating and lightweight, which is why I believe this version might be loved by people in their early 20s or even a bit younger. I find this eye cream to be delicate, lightweight and gentle. It does a great job as a moisturizer, and the tip is a big advantage.
For mature customers, I would check Colla-Juvenation Lift 4. If your problem is dark circles, then Gluta-Ctivation Bright 3 is an option for you. AHC Pro Shot Hyaluro-Deep Volume 5 Capsule-Infused Eye Cream For Face surprised me, because it's nothing I expected. It's a good formula, and it met my expectations.
Where to buy AHC Pro Shot Hyaluro-Deep Volume 5 Capsule-Infused Eye Cream For Face, and how much does it cost?
A set of AHC Pro Shot Hyaluro-Deep Volume 5 Capsule-Infused Eye Cream For Face (30ml) and 10ml of AHC Pro Shot Hyaluro-Deep Volume 5 Intra-Serum costs $34 at Olive Young*. You can use my affiliate code BETWEEND0 to save on your order.
Overall, AHC Pro Shot Hyaluro-Deep Volume 5 Capsule-Infused Eye Cream For Face is a good moisturizing cream, but I would recommend it for people who need to add moisture to the eye area. If you're searching for anti-wrinkle care, then check other AHC eye creams - I reviewed a few versions of them.
Would you give it a try?
