Chica Y Chico Tota-S 3.0

Read in English       Przeczytaj po polsku

My acne started very early - I was 11 at that time and listening from younger kids at school that it’s disgusting and I should do something about that - even if I was doing a lot to destroy my acne, I felt ugly and bad after hearing many hurtful words, all the dermatologists I met in Poland were also a bad experience. After many years my acne started to be less harmful but then the new enemy has risen - hormonal acne. I was sure that there’s still a chance to destroy the new enemy and I was right. Let me introduce you Chica Y Chico Tota-S 3.0 - my favourite tool to fight with cystic & hormonal acne.

Couple words about this brand
Unfortunately, it was hard to find out anything about this brand - I know that this brand is a brand related to Skin&Lab (I assume that after looking at their website). From what I have found out on RBM’s website - it’s a brand for young people like students because students don’t have too much time. Although the name sounds like a name for a spanish brand this brand is Korean.

Packaging
I don’t know how about you, but for me, the packaging reminds of pharmacy and serious medicines. The most useful thing is the applicator - be careful on the beginning because you have to be gentle with first uses.

Skin Type
This product can be used for every skin type, although it’s recommended for people who suffers from acne, breakouts, irritation, inflammations, hormonal & cystic acne.

Ingredients
Water, Butylene Glycol, Centella Asiatica Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Glycerin, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Alcohol, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Leaf Extract, Sodium Polyacrylate, Biosaccharide Gum-1, Panthenol, Sodium Polyacryloyldimethyl Taurate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Sophora Flavescens Root Extract, Allantoin, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder, Ethoxydiglycol, Totarol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, Caprylhydroxamic Acid, Boswellia Serrata Resin Extract

As always the first place is reserved for Water, next is Butylene Glycol, this ingredient is a moisturising agent but it also helps with transporting other substances inside our skin, thanks to this one substance our skin gets smoother. Centella Asiatica Extract, also known as „Gotu Kola”, it’s one of my favourite ingredients due to the big potential - here we use it as an antiseptic agent, but what’s interesting it works also for acne scars. Portulaca Oleracea Extract has anti-inflammatory properties. Glycerin can moisture our skin. Alcohol - I’m pretty sure, you’re already scared of this ingredient, although sensitive and dry skin might not react too well to this one it still helps some ingredients - it encourage them to work better and in a good amount it can help your skin. Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Leaf Extract is good for acne-prone skin and sensitive skin, it’ll moderate sebum level. Sodium Polyacrylate - a good emollient, but it also makes a product thicker. Biosaccharide Gum-1 is a thickening agent made of soy or corn, it can moisturise your skin, but it's also a good „medicine" for allergy. Panthenol - nothing else than vitamin B5, it moisturise skin well but it also helps with sunburns. Sodium Polyacryloyldimethyl Taurate - an emulsifier, Sodium Hyaluronate - good moisturiser, it’ll boost collagen production. Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate - that name sounds so scary, but we shouldn’t be afraid of this one, it’s a very good - what I like to call - „multi-tool” - it can help with acne, pigmentation, inflammations, allergy and atopic dermatitis. It also helps with wrinkles and it helps to moderate sebum level. Sophora Flavescens Root Extract, also known as Ku Shen has whitening properties. Allantoin - another moisturiser which can work with inflammations. Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder - made from dried aloe leaves it’s still a good moisturiser and it works well for acne-prone skin (it helps to get rid of the pimples and blemishes). Ethoxydiglycol is a thickener and it helps to transport substances under the surface of our skin. Totarol - natural preservative, the name Tota-S 3.0 came from this ingredient from New Zeland - it works very well for acne. 1,2-Hexanediol - an antibacterial preservative. Caprylyl Glycol - emollient, Caprylhydroxamic Acid - a mild preservative made from coconut oil, it destroys bacteria, but it’s also a moisturiser. And last but not least Boswellia Serrata Resin Extract  - it has anti-inflammatory properties.

Smell & Texture
The smell of this product is very neutral and mild, so if you’re very sensitive to smell then you shouldn’t have problems with this one. The texture is funny - it’s a yellow gel, but it’s not very thick.

How does it work for me?
I’m really surprised with this cream. It really helps for my hormonal breakouts & cystic acne - right now every time I get hormonal acne it’s a mild one and I have fewer scars after this horrible period. I use this product as a spot treatment, but I if I see some bad changes near my chin then I put a bigger amount of this product on that area. It works pretty well with other products from my routine. I was happy with blue cream from Klairs, but if you have stronger acne then this one will be better for you. You can easily put makeup on this product.

Additional information

This product is hypo-allergic product and it’s recommended to use for people who fights with acne for ages. It’s 100% safe for our skin and it’s full of natural ingredients - we won't find here and additional fragrances and colourants. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find information if this brand is suitable for vegans and vegetarians.

Let’s sum up

Right now it’s my favourite product in my whole skincare and now I really want to try another product from this brand. It costs 22$ on wishtrend's site (now 17.60$). If nothing else works for your acne then I really recommend you to try this one, for me, it works better than any other product and even if I’m tired and I don’t feel like I want to put anything on my face I can’t skip this step.

Have you heard about brand Chica Y Chico? How do you like this product? Have you ever tried it or maybe you want to try it?

  4. Uwielbiam Twój blog, bo polecasz wiele produktów do skóry trądzikowej, jaką niestety mam i ja.

Trądzik to okropne zdarzenie :)

  19. It's so annoying when your skin starts breaking out and it takes those spots a while to disappear. I agree, the packaging does remind me of prescribed creams you get form the doctors. :D I really like the fact that it does help breakouts. Thanks for sharing this product with us!
