Rovectin Cica Care Sleeping Pack

Centella is an ingredient that works for many different skin problems. It's not a surprise why Rovectin - a brand created for cancer patients. Rovectin has chosen Centella as the main ingredient in Rovectin Cica Care Sleeping Pack.

Why Centella?

If I would ever tell you that Centella Asiatica belongs to the Apiaceae family and is related to celery, you would probably never believe me. But that's a fact! Centella is a herb with a long tradition and few nicknames. You probably heard names such as tiger grass or Gotu kola, but Asiatic pennywort might be new to you. This plant grows in many beautiful places like India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia and Madagascar. This plant loves the humid climate. Centella has a wide use - from herbal medicine to culinary. I believe at this point you expect me to say "it's a hanbang ingredient", but Centella's roots are in Ayurveda and in many African and Asian countries, Centella has been a folk remedy for ages. Its main use as a folk remedy is to boost your brain as well as to help with anxiety, stomach issues, hepatitis and inflammation of the urinary tract. Centella has wide use in skin diseases such as eczema, psoriasis or vitiligo.

We should ask one important question, why Centella is so popular in skincare? To find that out, we should look deeper into Centella. This plant contains substances called " triterpene saponins" - bioactive compounds of many plants. Centella has many of them, but we mostly talk about four different triterpene saponins in skincare: madecassoside, asiaticoside, madecassic acid and asiatic acid. Depending on the place where the Centella comes from, the number of different triterpene saponins might be a bit different. One Thing is using locally-harvest Centella. This ingredient in skincare has many positive effects. While many of us use strong products to fight pigmentation after a pimple, we usually choose products to fight PIH - post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. That's a mistake because post-acne pigmentation and scars are not PIH, but PIE - post-inflammatory erythema. PIH and PIE are not the same, and how do you treat irritated skin? Not by irritating it more, but instead, we are focusing on calming the skin. Centella is a powerful healing ingredient - it speeds up wound healing. It stimulates collagen production which has positive effects on scars and wrinkles. It strengthens the blood vessels in the skin, that's why it might help with visible blood vessels - especially if your skin is thin, so you might want to add Centella to your skincare.

Centella is not all about skincare but hair care and body care - it stimulates hair growth and fights cellulite. Using Centella after pregnancy is a clever move!

About Rovectin

Rovectin is a South Korean brand, but the name Rovectin comes from the Latin word "reverti" which in the brand's view means "to return to where it was". Rovectin was created for cancer patients, but Rovectin has an even deeper story. It's a story of siblings - a brother who wanted to help his sister during her chemotherapy. Rovectin products are good for sensitive skin, they are all cruelty-free and free from many sensitizing ingredients.

Rovectin Cica Care Sleeping Pack - Texture & Scent?

Rovectin Cica Care Sleeping Pack has a nice texture, it's hard to say what it reminds me off since it's like a barrier mask - it locks the moisture in the skin. What I love about Rovectin Cica Care Sleeping Pack is that it doesn't contain any artificial scent ingredients besides natural oils. There is a delicate scent but it doesn't remind me of anything.

It should be clean and free from minerals, microorganisms or other substances. Usually, water makes up the majority of the content of the product. Calamine is a mineral powder with anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties. It has a calming effect on the skin, and it works on acne. It absorbs the sebum and can be used after sun exposure. Butylene Glycol is a common ingredient in products. It's not only a solvent. We use butylene glycol because it helps with the penetration of active ingredients, protects products from drying and moisturizes skin and hair. This ingredient can prevent hair loss and make your hair stronger. Trehalose is sugar and another moisturizer in this formula. Betaine is an amino acid. In skincare products, we use it for its moisturizing properties. Betaine keeps the water balance of the skin. It e wrinkles appear less visible, and it soothes irritated skin. In hair care, betaine doesn't only moisturize the hair. It makes hair soft and shiny. Betaine in cosmetics usually comes from sweet beetroots. It naturally occurs in the skin and hair. Dicaprylyl Carbonate is an emollient. It makes your skincare products easy to apply to the skin. Centella Asiatica Extract is probably the most popular extract in skincare. It comes under a few names - Asiatic pennywort, tiger grass or Gotu kola. Centella Asiatica's roots are in Ayurveda. In hair care, Centella can help with hair growth. Protease is an enzyme with exfoliating properties. Panthenol is a humectant. It prevents skin from TEWL (Transepidermal Water Loss). Panthenol is also known as vitamin B5, and it helps with irritation. Panthenol can soothe the skin irritated by preservatives, scent ingredients, and chemical sunscreens - it might have a meaning for lipids in our skin and skin barrier. It speeds up the healing process. It's good to use it after sunbathing. In hair care, Panthenol has moisturizing properties. If you have problems detangling your hair or hair growth go for Panthenol. It can even improve the effectiveness of active ingredients. Glyceryl Polyacrylate is a film-forming substance. Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate is a soothing and antibacterial ingredient. For many people, it's the only acceptable form of Licorice. This ingredient has many positive meanings for the skin - it has moisturizing properties, and it can even lighten the dark spot. Even sensitive skin should enjoy it. Allantoin is an ingredient that naturally occurs in our bodies, but brands usually go for the synthetic form of this substance. It comes from comfrey or soybean roots. It's a humectant with soothing and wound-healing properties.

It's a source of vitamin C, anthocyanins, ellagic acid, malic acid, beta-carotene, and α-tocopherol. Nordic berry is an edible plant, but in beauty, we use it for its calming properties and the number of positive substances in this extract. What works for you might not work for someone else. Caprylhydroxamic Acid neutralizes metal ions in the formula. 1,2-Hexanediol is a synthetic solvent and preservative - it protects products from microorganisms by boosting other preservatives. At the same time, it can moisturize the skin, and it has no unpleasant effects on your epidermis. Boswellia Serrata Resin Extract has soothing, anti-inflammatory and moisturizing properties. Rovectin Cica Care Sleeping Pack

How does Rovectin Cica Care Sleeping Pack work?

I love Cica in skincare, it's an awesome ingredient that helps with many skin conditions. I'm not new to Rovectin since I tested this brand before - you can read my Rovectin LHA Ampoule review already on Kherblog. The reason why I've decided to test Rovectin Cica Care Sleeping Pack is simple - my skin during summer time had some problems with moisture, and cica pack seems to be the best choice when your skin gets irritated. I was right! This gel formula reminds me a bit of silicone or paraffin since it's easy to apply and it works as occlusive.

Rovectin Cica Care Sleeping Pack helps you lock the moisture that's why this mask might not be the best choice for acne-prone skin, but somehow it saved my combo skin! This product was designed for the night routine as the last step so we apply it after the moisturizer, and leave it overnight. Rovectin Cica Care Sleeping Pack is especially good if you use drying solutions on acne, and want to save your skin. It's a mask that is worth having in your stash for wintertime.

How much does Rovectin Cica Care Sleeping Pack cost, and where to buy it?

The tube of Rovectin Cica Care Sleeping Pack** costs $34/80ml on Wishtrend**. PAO date is 12 months. You can use my code DOMINIKA15 to get 15% off on your Wishtrend purchase.

Overall, Rovectin Cica Care Sleeping Pack is a mask which is worth trying. I keep it in my stash for the days when my skin feels dry. Have you ever tried Rovectin before?
