Do you use sheet masks or hydrogel masks? This month, I tried masks from brands like Arencia, Biodance, Bioheal BOH, Eqqualberry, Medicube & Mediheal. Which mask was the best for glowing skin? Which mask should you avoid?
What’s a sheet mask?
A sheet mask is usually a face mask made out of cellulose or other fabrics. Such a mask is usually soaked in serum or essence and depends on the product you leave it on your face for up to 20 minutes. There are different types of sheet masks. The most popular is the cellulose one, but you can also find hydrogel masks made out of agar or carrageenan. Sometimes you can find masks made out of foil. Lately, collagen masks have become popular. They are usually also made out of agar and carrageenan.
How often should you use sheet masks?
To be honest, there’s no strict rule on how often a sheet mask should be used. Fan Bingbing, a Chinese actress, has said in interviews that she uses at least two sheet masks per day. She even has her own sheet mask brand. Personally, I would advise using them as often as you need them, but if you leave a hydrogel mask like Biodance for 4 hours, don’t do this daily.
If you want to see all the masks from this post and where to shop for them in one place, feel free to check shopmy list.

Arencia is a brand that gained quite a lot of popularity in 2025. I tried two products from this brand, and there’s one serum I enjoyed, but I still haven’t posted the review. I got this set from YesStyle after winning a challenge. Arencia Red Collagen Jello Mask is a pore-tightening mask. It contains Red Collagen Complex, Niacinamide and 5-Peptide Complex. According to Arencia, you should keep this mask for 40 minutes and follow with Red Smoothie Serum 30. Unless you use it during the evening routine, then serum comes first, and you seal it with Red Collagen Jello Mask.
Obviously, I didn’t have serum, but I got an entire pack of masks, and all I can tell you is that this mask is not for me. It’s made out of two parts, and that’s definitely a benefit. Somehow, this mask was enormously big for me, and I couldn’t really enjoy it. Still, 5 minutes with this mask on gave me a nice glow.
You can get a 4-sheet mask set of Arencia Red Collagen Jello Mask at YesStyle*. A set costs around $16-$18, but with my affiliate code BETWEENDOTS, you can save on your order.
Biodance Bio-Collagen Real Deep Mask Sheet
Water, Collagen Extract, Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate, Glycerine, Acrylates Copolymer, Niacinamide, Ceratonia Siliqua (Carob) Gum, Chondrus Crispus Extract, Betaine, Algin, Dipropylene Glycol, Agar, Hydroxyacetophenone, 1, 2-Hexanediol, Potassium Chloride, Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate, Caprylyl Glycol, Sucrose, Butylene Glycol, Allantoin, Ethylhexylglycerin, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Adenosine, Disodium EDTA, Pyrus Communis (Pear) Fruit Extract, Rosa Damascena Flower Water, Iris Florentina Root Extract, Cucumis Melo (Melon) Fruit Extract, Hedera Helix (Ivy) Leaf/Stem Extract, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Bifida Ferment Filtrate, Tocopherol, Lactobacillus Ferment, Lactobacillus Ferment Lysate
I guess everyone knows Biodance masks, because last year the sales of this mask were impressive. I literally saw this mask everywhere. For some people, Biodance Bio-Collagen Real Deep Mask Sheet is the best collagen mask they ever tried. I think it’s one of the best, but not the number 1 mask. Biodance Bio-Collagen Real Deep Mask Sheet is supposed to hydrate your skin deeply, minimise pores, firm the skin and boost the radiance. It contains 243Da Collagen Peptides, Galactomyces, Oligo Hyaluronic Acid and Niacinamide. The ingredients are really impressive, and the fit of the mask is really good. It sticks well, and I'm glad that this mask is made out of two parts, it makes it easier to apply.
So why don’t I think it’s a number 1 hydrogel mask, aka collagen mask? How can you sleep in this mask or spend 4 hours in it? I don’t know how people can spend so much time in a mask. It’s also funny to see people who complain about volatile silicones putting mask like this for the entire night. I think that for acne-prone skin, sleeping in a mask like this is way worse than volatile silicones. This type of mask is great, but moderation is definitely needed, and for some skin types, 20-40 minutes with this mask on will be enough.
A set of 4 Biodance Bio-Collagen Real Deep Mask Sheet masks costs around $23 on YesStyle*. Olive Young* has a single sheets of Biodance Bio-Collagen Real Deep Mask Sheet, but it costs around $6. The set of 7 masks and one additional PDRN mask at Olive Young* costs $35. It's definitely a good price for 8 collagen masks in total. Remember to claim coupons at Olive Young and use the affiliate code BETWEEND0 to save on your order.
BIOHEAL BOH NAD-Prizcell™ Glow Film Mask

I’ve already made a post about this mask (and serum) on Kherblog. NAD is a popular ingredient lately, but the key is finding one that’s encapsulated. The mask has Aqualitol and Starlight. I have to admit, I have no idea what’s in Starlight.
NAD-Prizcell™ Glow Film Mask has encapsulated NAD, but it’s a single hydrogel mask. It’s hard to apply. I’m glad that at least Bioheal BOH doesn’t recommend sleeping in this mask, because I’m not a fan of leaving hydrogel masks for longer than 40 minutes. The fit is off. It would be a nice mask, but it’s quite thin, and it’s hard to apply.
BIOHEAL BOH NAD-Prizcell™ Glow Film Mask is available at Olive Young*, a single sheet costs $2.50. Feel free to use my affiliate code BETWEEND0 on your next Olive Young order.

Eqqualberry Collagen Pore Tight up Hydrogel Mask
Aqua/Water/Eau, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Glycereth-26, Niacinamide, Chondrus Crispus Powder, 1,2-Hexanediol, Ceratonia Siliqua (Carob) Gum, Sodium Dna, Collagen, Glyceryl Glucoside, Panthenol, Sodium PCA, Hydroxyacetophenone, Algin, Polyglyceryl-3 Methylglucose Distearate, Glucomannan, Sucrose, Allantoin, Gellan Gum, Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate, Polysorbate 80, Propanediol, Xanthan Gum, Potassium Chloride, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Sodium Polyacryloyldimethyl Taurate, Eclipta Prostrata Extract, Adenosine, Sodium Hyaluronate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Glucose, Melia Azadirachta Leaf Extract, Sodium Polyacrylate, Moringa Oleifera Seed Oil, Tocopherol, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5, Caprylyl Glycol, Hexapeptide-2, Dimethylsilanol Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Hydrolyzed Sodium Hyaluronate, Capryloyl Dipeptide-17, Hyaluronic Acid, Potassium Hyaluronate, Hydroxypropyltrimonium Hyaluronate, Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer, Sodium Hyaluronate Dimethylsilanol, Biotin, Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate, Hexapeptide-9, Palmitoyl Hexapeptide-12, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, Copper Tripeptide-1, Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4, Acetyl Tetrapeptide-5, Oligopeptide-1, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, Oligopeptide-2
I’m not a big fan of hydrogel masks, but this one was recommended to me by the Team Leader from my previous job (where my task was researching new K-beauty trends before they got popular and finding brands before they got popular). This mask contains 10,000ppm vegan PDRN. Sadly, there’s no information available about the source of PDRN. All we are given is the information that this product contains PDRN (INCI: Sodium DNA). However, we can assume that this mask likely contains aloe PDRN or rice PDRN, as Eqqualberry uses these two ingredients in other products. It also contains Alaskan Glacier Water and a 10-Layer Hyaluronic Acid Complex.
Eqqualberry Collagen Pore Tight up Hydrogel Mask has two separate parts that stick to the face better than anything else. It’s definitely one of my favourite hydrogel masks because it didn’t move. A set of 4 masks costs around $21 at Olive Young* and $22 at YesStyle*.
medicube PDRN Pink Collagen Gel Mask Sheet
Water, Glycerin, Methylpropanediol, Acrylates/Ethylhexyl Acrylate Copolymer, Niacinamide, Chondrus Crispus Powder, 1,2-Hexanediol, Butylene Glycol, Betaine, Ceratonia Siliqua (Carob) Gum, Hydroxyacetophenone, Allantoin, Glucomannan, Xanthan Gum, Laureth-21, Panthenol, Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate, Propanediol, Cellulose Gum, Cyamopsis Tetragonoloba (Guar) Gum, Fragrance, Potassium Chloride, Dextrin, Adenosine, Hydrolyzed Collagen (300Ppm), Cyanocobalamin, Ascorbic Acid, Sodium Dna (3Ppm), Tocopherol, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, Ascorbic Acid Polypeptide, Acetyl Octapeptide-3, Acetyl Tetrapeptide-2, Acetyl Tetrapeptide-3, Acetyl Tetrapeptide-5, Acetyl Tetrapeptide-9, Carnosine, Copper Tripeptide-1, Nonapeptide-1, Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5
I have to mention that I got mixed feelings about Medicube. I’m not a fan of popular brands because I have to admit Medicube has an amazing marketing strategy, but as a person with a degree in Cosmetology, I wish some trends promoted by the brand wouldn’t exist. Still, Medicube had some products which I liked and this mask is one of them. This mask isn't vegan-friendly, because it contains salmon PDRN. It also contains low molecule hydrolized collagen. Medicube recommends to leave this mask for 3-4 hours, obviously for me it was too long, but bonus points for making this mask in two parts so application was easy. The way this mask sticks to my face was good.
I couldn't find a single sheet of medicube PDRN Pink Collagen Gel Mask Sheet, but a pack of 4 masks costs around $24 at Olive Young*, but you can get a set of 4 with additional mask for around $21 also at Olive Young*. The set of 4 masks costs $18 at YesStyle*.
Mediheal Collagen Essential Mask
Water, Glycerine, Methylpropanediol, Propanediol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Hydroxyacetophenone, Hydrolyzed Extensin (Carrot Collagen 1,200Ppm), Panthenol, Betaine, Trehalose, Adenosine, Disodium EDTA, Carbomer, Arginine, Octyldodeceth-16, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Hyaluronate, Sodium Polyacrylate, Glycine, Glutamic Acid, Aspartic Acid, Tremella Fuciformis Polysaccharide*(10 Ppm), Sodium Chloride, Soluble Collagen (Vegan Collagen 1Ppm), Serine, Histidine, Alanine, Threonine, Proline, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Hibiscus Rosa-Sinensis Flower Extract*(0.1Ppm), Chlorella Ferment*(0.1 Ppm), Magnesium Chloride, Calcium Chloride, Mannose, Glucose, Fragrance
I believe this mask is no longer sold or it’s changing the design (or maybe even ingredients), but I still think that you can’t go wrong with Mediheal masks.
Mediheal Rose PDRN Essential Mask Sheet
Water, Glycerin, Propanediol, Butylene Glycol, Glycereth-26, 1,2-Hexanediol, Rosa Damascena Flower Extract, Xanthan Gum, Carbomer, Panthenol, Arginine, Hydroxyacetophenone, Canola Oil, Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate, Adenosine, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Dipropylene Glycol, Polyglyceryl-4 Laurate, Polyglyceryl-10 Stearate, Disodium EDTA, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Rosa Damascena Flower Water, Gardenia Florida Flower Extract, Lactobacillus Ferment, Ribes Nigrum (Black Currant) Leaf Extract, Rubus Suavissimus (Raspberry) Leaf Extract, Sea Water, Hedera Helix (Ivy) Leaf/Stem Extract, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil, Squalane, Castanea Crenata (Chestnut) Shell Extract, Ficus Carica (Fig) Fruit Extract, Glycine Max (Soybean) Seed Extract, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Leaf Water, Chenopodium Quinoa Seed Extract, Cyperus Rotundus Root Extract, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Bambusa Vulgaris Leaf Extract, Linum Usitatissimum (Linseed) Seed Extract, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Dna, Gluconolactone, Ceramide NP
I’m not a big fan of rose in cosmetics, but Mediheal got a point for this one. It didn’t sensitize my skin, it worked well, and the fit is nice. It’s definitely one of the most affordable masks. This mask is supposed to give the skin a poreless glow, and we have to be honest about something - none of the products is going to erase your pores because our skin needs pores, but good care can make pores less visible.
According to Mediheal, this mask contains British Rose PDRN, which is 250 times smaller than regular salmon PDRN. It's a vegan-friendly mask that gives the skin a glowy look, and it's suitable for sensitive skin. I think that if you’re allergic to roses, be careful. I didn’t have a reaction even though many rose cosmetics cause me some sensitivity, but each person reacts differently to this ingredient. Still, I think it’s a good mask.
A single sheet of Mediheal Rose PDRN Essential Mask Sheet at Olive Young* costs $1.50. A set of 10 masks + 1 additional mask cost $13.50 at Olive Young*, but if you want to get bigger amount then a set* of 20 masks cost $26.50, but with my affiliate code BETWEENDOTS, you can save on your order.
This month I tried quite a big number of interesting masks, but believe me, for March I got an even bigger collection with some interesting choices.
Have you tried any of these masks?
